[Warning: This article contains spoilers for an upcoming Nintendo Switch game]

As reported byIGN, however, some players have immediately leaked details surrounding the upcoming game before the playtest even starts, as they were given access to both pre-downloading and a special informational website as of October 21. Nintendo Switch Leaks Seem To Be A Tradition

Nintendo’s Secret Playtest Is The Latest In A Long Line Of Leaks

It’s far from the first time that details surrounding an upcoming Nintendo Switch game have leaked -Pokémon Z-Ahad details leakedearlier in October, for example - but it’s especially notable thatNintendo is treating this upcoming playtest with a greater degree of secrecy. As discussed in IGN’s article, although details from the website were posted almost immediately after access was granted, Nintendo has been almost equally quick at taking those images down wherever they’ve been able to.

Although Nintendo’s been quick on the draw, most of the damage has already been done by the initial leaks - while the images of the website are harder to find now, details from them have already been spread through various forums. General details about the game, as outlined by the website, can be found relatively easily when searching through the right – or wrong – places. More specific details aren’t likely to come out until the playtest actually starts on October 23, butit’s almost a foregone conclusion that there will be another leakwhen players get hands-on with the title.

Despite Nintendo Takedowns, Spoilers For The Playtest Will Be Hard To Avoid

Unfortunately for those who don’t want to be spoiled,it’s unlikely that Nintendo has managed to take down every image of the website that’s been posted on the Internet, especially on platforms like Discord, and even without the images, it would probably be difficult to avoid discussions surrounding the game. With the assumption that this is a game that Nintendo is planning on fully releasing in the future, those who don’t want to be spoiled should attempt to avoid discussion of the playtest, including the next paragraph of this article which will discuss the leaks in further detail.
