TheVoltronmovie has added new stars.Voltronis a franchise that originated as a television series in 1984. The series features a team of space explorers who work together to pilot a massive robot deemed “Voltron.” Thefirst series was based on a Japanese anime show calledBeast King Go-Lion. Since the original airing ofVoltron, the franchise has been developed into multiple other series including the sequel seriesVoltron: The Third Dimensionand the Netflix seriesVoltron: Legendary Defender. AVoltronfeature filmstarring Henry Cavill has since been announced.
As per Amazon MGM Studios, new stars have been announced forVoltron. Theseactors include Sterling K. Brown, Rita Ora, and John Kim.At the time of writing, the specific characters that these new cast members are playing have not yet been revealed.

In addition to Cavill, theVoltronlive-action project had already announced Daniel Quinn-Toye as a cast member.The director of the film will be Rawson Marshall Thurber, whose previous projects include films such asDodgeball: A True Underdog Story,We’re the Millers,Skyscraper, andRed Notice. Producers on the film include Bob Koplar, Todd Lieberman, Thurber, and David Hoberman. The update has still kept the plot ofVoltronunder wraps, but Thurber previously promised that the film has “reimagined Voltron forthe live-action world” while maintaining its key elements. Ora is known as a singer-songwriter, but has also made her foray into acting with projects likeFifty Shades of GreyandDescendents: Rise of the Red.
