This thrillingStar Warstheory regardingAhsokaseason 2 would make Ahsoka Tano a teacher again, but not for who viewers may think. Should this theory come to fruition, it would completely break the traditions of theJedi Code. In doing so, season 2 would have a surprising turn of events for a character whose fate has been left up in the air afterAhsokaseason 1’s ending. It would also create an interestingly awkward dynamic between two characters who were enemies during season 1:Sabine WrenandShin Hati.
WhileAhsokaseason 2is not set to begin filming until next year, the intrigue surrounding Shin Hati’s story is still vast. The last audiences saw of her, she was headed towards the bandit camp on Peridea with her activated lightsaber overhead. This act seemed to indicate that she was looking to join the bandits. It would make sense, considering how aimless Shin’s character would be after the departure of her former master,Baylan Skoll. While it might seem far-fetched, Shin Hati’s redemption arc would be fascinating to observe, and this theory takes it a step further.

Shin’s Redemption Would Mean She Needs A New Master
Ahsoka would be the perfect choice
The fate of Shin Hati comes down to two possibilities:she either remains on the path of an aimless warrior or becomes a redeemed character. Either path works for her arc, but a mixture of both would probably be the best course. If Shin is to be redeemed, she will need a new master after she and Baylan Skoll parted ways. Shin had a good relationship with her master but was often at odds with what he desired. This led to Shin becoming a confused wanderer of sorts by the end ofAhsoka. Getting a master like Ahsoka would help her find her way in life.
What Happens To Shin Hati (Will She Return In Star Wars' Future?)
The Ahsoka finale reveals what happens to Shin Hati at the conclusion of season 1, but will the dark Jedi Padawan return in the future of Star Wars?
Ahsokaseason 1 provided clues about Shin’s redemption, but they did not come to pass. With her master gone, Shin does not have a sense of belonging. Even though she had reservations about her master’s agenda towards the end of the series, she is alone and confused without him. She is very much in need of a guiding figure - someone to help her give purpose and figure out what she truly wants. Ahsoka offered to provide those things for her by helping her, but if she were to take up Shin as an apprentice, she would be breaking Jedi tradition.
Ahsoka believes that Shin isn’t beyond redemption. In episode 7 ofAhsoka, she tells Shin, “I can help you.”
The Jedi Code Forbids Training More Than One Padawan
But Ahsoka is no Jedi
Under the Jedi code, no master can train more than one Jedi at a time. If Ahsoka were to take on Shin as an apprentice, she would directly violate that rule, considering she still has Sabine Wren as her apprentice. However,Ahsoka has never been a conventional Jedi, and dialing up her duties as a master for two apprentices would feed into her unconventional character. It would also give her a chance to vindicate herself from her first fallout with Sabine.
Ahsoka Tano
The apprentice of Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano was an accomplished Padawan who served during the Clone Wars. Ahsoka left the Jedi after she became disillusioned with the Jedi Council, but returned to serve in the Siege of Mandalore at the end of the Clone Wars. She survived Order 66, becoming a Rebel agent during the Dark Times of the Empire’s reign, and her adventures continue in the New Republic era. Ahsoka was last seen stranded in a distant galaxy, having failed to prevent Grand Admiral Thrawn’s return.
Like her master before her, Ahsoka is very intense when handling herself in a fight. Within her is a kind of wisdom that her master never learned: letting go of things. Ahsoka is a master of meditation and is excellent at providing guidance. Although Ahsoka’s first mentorship of Sabine was shaky, mentoring a character like Shin would greatly develop both characters' arcs. It would be complex, but taking an aimless character like Shin under her wing can give Shin Hati a foundation to stand on that she does not yet possess. It would also create a hilariously awkward dynamic.

It would bring out a lot of emotions
The most difficult part about this mentorship would be convincing the pair to get along. Considering that Shin stabbed Sabine through the abdomen, and Sabine then bested her in the second fight, there would be serious tension between the two. Handling and diffusing this tension would probably be the most challenging thing Ahsoka would have to combat should this happen. The payoff would be an entertaining ride watching Ahsoka train two students, both solid fighters who could use more guidance in the force.
5 Clues Shin Hati Will Be Redeemed Before The End Of Ahsoka Season 1
Ahsoka’s seventh episode, “Dreams and Madness,” seems to hint that Shin Hati may yet be redeemed – could that still happen before the end of season 1?
Sabine’s stubbornness as a Mandalorian makes her a tough student to train, which is partly why she and Ahsoka fell out after their first stint together. While Shin has had a considerable amount of lightsaber and force training, she needs to focus on the more mental aspects surrounding Jedi training. Pairing these two together would be a fun addition to theAhsokaseason 2 storyline. It would be quite a ride to see how the dynamics of these two characters mesh over time.

It would truly be nothing but beneficial to the overall story if Ahsoka takes on Shin Hati as an apprentice inAhsokaseason 2. Shin Hati was one of the better parts of season 1 and required more development. Letting a character like hers wither would be a sad waste. Having her redemption arc tied to Ahsoka and Sabine would be amazing to witness, as it would be a great story about forgiving and finding one’s way. Shin Hati desperately needs guidance, and that is something the great Ahsoka Tano can provide for her as her master inAhsokaseason 2.
