The Bacheloretteseason 21 contestant Aaron Erb revealed that the self-improvement book he gave Devin Strader,Principles For Self-Growthby Dr. Brandon O. Conner, really was fake, as many viewers suspected. DuringThe Bacheloretteseason 21,Aaron gave Devin a book, which was very similar to the one that his twin brother, Noah Erb, had received from Bennett Jordan duringThe Bacheloretteseason 16. However, the book was nonexistent outside of the show, and its author shared a name with aBacheloretteproducer, so the assumption was that it wasn’t real.

Aaron Erb and host Jesse Palmer revealed that the book cover was, in fact, fake, but there was a real book inside it, which wasThe Four Agreementsby Don Miguel Ruiz.

Did Alleged Producer Manipulation Ruin The Bachelorette?

Producer manipulation and interference definitely ruinedThe Bacheloretteseason 21.There were too many instances in which it seemed as though the producers were controlling what happened on the show, including Aaron giving Devin the book. During the “Men Tell All” episode, Aaron said that he didn’t even remember that his brother, Noah, had received a book too, which really didn’t seem as though it could be true. The whole situation felt very manipulated, along with other instances such as Jenn’s ex-boyfriend, Matt Rossi, trying to win her back, and all of the drama among the men.

It’s about time thatThe Bacheloretteadmitted thatAaron’s book cover was fake. While it was understandable that the show didn’t have permission to reveal the real book’s cover on the air,the producers never should’ve tried to dupe viewers with a fake cover. All that did was make fans lose faith in the franchise and confirm their suspicions that the producers were involved with Aaron’s book. It’s very hard to invest inThe Bachelorettewhen so much of it feels manufactured and fake.

If Aaron and Jesse were allowed to say the name of the book and even show the blurred cover in the “Men Tell All” episode, thensomething similar could’ve been done when Aaron gave Devin the book. It seems that the producers only came clean about the book because they got caught. IfThe Bacheloretteproducers want to regain viewers' trust after years of interferences accusations, then they have to stop doing things like this on the show.Aaron’s book didn’t have to be controversial, and the producers should’ve just come clean about it in the first place.
