Since this tradition was introduced,there have only been three Oscars ceremonies in which the Best Original Song nominees were not performed. No Best Original Song nominees were performed at the 1989 ceremony, the 2010 ceremony, or the 2012 ceremony, where there were just two nominees: “Real in Rio” fromRioand “Man or Muppet” fromThe Muppets.
