When Doris was alive, she wanted Harry to get psychiatric help for Dexter but Harry saw a different path.When Dexter says “That’s what you made me for,” in the episode, Harry doesn’t disagree.

At Original Sin’s season 1 midpoint, Gibson’s Dexter is eerily convincing while Slater’s Harry has become the true highlight of the prequel series.

Not only does Harry establish a code for Dexter on who he can kill, but he also suggests that Dexter start using smelling salts to wake up his victims sooner so he doesn’t have to waste any time.
