He also suggests that Dexter start using smelling salts
Dexter: Original Sinepisode 5 pretty much suggests that Harry is responsible for turning Dexter into a serial killer. It’s evident that Harry has taken on a lot of the blame and guilt for Dexter’s killing spree throughout the prequel series, which is evidenced by his increased anger, stress, and concern for his and Dexter’s anonymity. When Doris was alive, she wanted Harry to get psychiatric help for Dexter but Harry saw a different path. When Dexter says “That’s what you made me for,” in the episode, Harry doesn’t disagree.
Dexter: Original Sin Episode 5 Review - With Dexter & Harry Expertly Established, I Can See Original Sin As A Multi-Season Effort
At Original Sin’s season 1 midpoint, Gibson’s Dexter is eerily convincing while Slater’s Harry has become the true highlight of the prequel series.
Dexter: Original Sinepisode 5 also reveals that Harry had more of a role in establishing Dexter’s killing methods than previously thought. Not only does Harry establish a code for Dexter on who he can kill, but he also suggests that Dexter start using smelling salts to wake up his victims sooner so he doesn’t have to waste any time. In this way,Harry’s own “Dark Passenger” begins to reveal itself, which is also exemplified when Dexter puts Harry on his victim table to demonstrate his improvements.

Dexter: Original Sin Forgets Dr. Vogel’s Role In “Creating” Dexter
She should have come around in Original Sin by now
Dexterseason 8 reveals Dr. Vogel was the one who really devised the Code that Dexter uses to determine his victims. However, Original Sin notably looks over this fact and has not even cast anyone as Dr. Vogel. Based onDexterlore, she would certainly have been around at this time or in the near future.Unless Dr. Vogel’s character has yet to be introduced in the Dexter prequel series, it appears thatDexter: Original Sinis planning to reestablish Dexter’s origin story through the will of Harry, rather than include Dr. Vogel.
