However, its previous crew will stand in your way as you attempt to restore the Oracle’s systems.

DespiteShattered Space’sbugs, theStarfieldexpansion offers plenty of positives, with new locations to explore as you take on a host of missions. How To Prepare For The What Remains Quest

Exploring The Oracle Star Station

Once you board the Oracle inStarfield: Shattered Space, you’ll have access to the"What Remains"mission. You’ll come across enemies of much higher levels throughout the quest, so it’s recommended that you’re at leastlevel 35 before you begin the DLC. We’ve broken down each step of the mission’s outline provided byGameSpot, but you can also follow along withZaFrostPeton YouTube for handy visuals as you move through the Oracle Starstation.

Meet Basira & Sirak

Chat With Two Ghosts

As you make your way through the halls of the Oracle space station inShattered Space, you’ll come face to face with two ghosts lingering near a massive glowing wall:Basira and Sirak. The two are discussing emotionally about Basira’s state of mind, which an unknown force has overtaken. Basira falls victim to this force in seconds, and you musttake out the spiritto move forward.

How To Start Starfield: Shattered Space DLC

Starfield’s DLC expansion, Shattered Space, has been released. What should you know before diving into the Shattered Space? And how do you start it?

Once defeated, you can loot the ghost’s body for theOracle Access Cardand a handful of other items. Basira’s partner, Sirak, will remain in the area for a moment, afflicted by the same mysterious force before it disappears. After listening, you’re free to continue to the door at the opposite end of the room. Use the card you found to move on to the next area of the space station.

Find Sirak’s Incident Log & Fight The Ghost Ship’s Phantoms

When you make it to the next room on the Oracle, you’ll soon find a large structure affected by the same strange, glowing material as the wall in the previous room. According to Sirak’s log found in the area, an unexpected energy surge affected the ship and its passengers, and enemies calledVortex Phantomsare now found throughout. Each of the enemies here sitsupwards of level 35 and uses lightning-based attacks. Just as Basira quickly became hostile due to the force of the power surge earlier, the ship’s remaining Phantoms won’t hesitate to attack, either.

Locating each ofSirak’s four incident logsthroughout the Oracle is an optional portion of the mission at hand. However, you’ll need to find at least the first log to progress the quest, with the others serving as helpful hints.

With Sirak’s Log 1, you’ll gain enough insight to continue your mission and defeat the enemies ahead. However, you’ll also find a card reader nearby, which can’t be activated yet. You’ll need to find anEngineering Bay Access Card to use it. From this area, look for theyellow doorbeyond the computer hall and head downstairs to get to the next area of the station and find a card.

Get The Engineering Bay Access Card

As you follow the “What Remains"quest marker downstairs, you’ll find a box blocking theNumber 3storage cell in the bay. Head for the control room nearby and look for the corresponding button to clear the box from the cell. Activate it, then return to the storage area once the box is removed to access the cell. You’ll now be able to access a hatch inside, which leads to another level beneath the floor.

Below, you may follow the quest marker straight to a bed in a small sleeping quarters area, where you’ll find theEngineering Bay Access Card. There’s a Vortex Phantom inside, so take it down before you explore the room to find another log. With the card in hand, go back through the hatch andreturn to the card readerin the computer room upstairs. Use the card to start the step of your mission.

Reconnect The Power Cell & Restore The Oracle’s Gravity

After you’ve inserted the Engineering Bay Access Card into the card reader upstairs, you can find theMain Power Controlsin the central area of the station. At this point, you’ll need to press the “Reconnect Secondary Power Cell” directive on the computer to move forward, though this won’t help resolve the issue. to successfully reconnect the power cell, you’ll first need to restore the station’s gravity.

To do this, follow your quest marker and float up to another control room to access the computer above. Sirak’s ghost will give you an idea of what needs to be done, but more Vortex Phantoms will soon enter the area, requiring you to take them out to get to the control room. You’ll find another log on your way up, so be sure to pick that up to complete the set of four on your objective outline, then continue through the same room to enter the door at the back.

Quickly grab it, return it to the receptacle, then hit the Power Switch to open the door. Head on through to the computer room on the other side.

Defeat Sirak & Land The Oracle

Get The Access Card

Straight ahead, you’ll find the Oracle’s Main Gravity Controls. Hit the “Enable Gravity” directive to restore the station’s gravity, then head back to the Main Power Controls below toreconnect the secondary Power Cell. It’ll work this time, and you’ll then need to report to Operations, where Sirak is waiting.

Unable to hold back the power surge any longer, Sirak is overcome by the same force that took over Basira and the other Vortex Phantoms. You’ll need to defeat him and several more enemies that arrive on the scene to move forward. Once you’ve taken them down, loot Sirak’s body for theOperations Access Cardand bring it to the Operations Controls computer toinitiate a mainframe rebootand enable the Grav Drive function.
