The Mandalorian and Grogucould feature a huge Mandalorian prophecy after an Easter egg found inStar Wars Outlaws. The Mandalorian and Grogu’s storyis the most immediate ofStar Wars' theatrical movies, one that I am personally very excited to see play out. As a fan ofThe Mandalorian’s three seasons thus far, I am excited to see how the titular characters translate in one ofStar Wars’upcoming movies. Interestingly, a plot point of the film may have been teased by an interesting Easter egg inStar Wars Outlaws, a video game set in the franchise.

The Easter egg in question was highlighted by Twitter userPunchItChewieand is a circular rune-inscribed stone with notable Mandalorian connections. I was shocked to see images of Tarre Vizsla, the first Mandalorian Jedi, and the Darksaber standing alongside the sigil of the Mudhorn. The Mudhorn sigil is the one held by Din Djarin and Grogu, which is not crafted until years afterStar Wars Outlawstakes place. This hints at a major Mandalorian prophecy that may have been crafted millennia ago, teasing Mando flashbacks inThe Mandalorian and Groguand big implications for the titular duo.

The Song Of The Mythosaur Explained

The Book Of Boba Fett Outlined A Potential Mandalorian Prophecy

In the episode ofThe Book of Boba Fetttitled “Return of the Mandalorian,” a potential prophecy that could linkStar Wars OutlawsandThe Mandalorian and Groguwas hinted at. The Armorer mentions that songs of eons past foretold thatThe Mandalorian’s legendary Mythosaurwould rise up once more to usher in a new age for the planet. I, along with many others, assumed this storyline would come to pass inThe Mandalorianseason 3 given the scene in which Bo-Katan witnesses a Mythosaur beneath the Living Waters of Mandalore.

However, my disappointment was great when the Mythosaur did not return inThe Mandalorianseason 3. Instead, the Song of the Mythosaur may still yet play out, potentially inThe Mandalorian and Grogu. The Darksaber and Tarre Vizsla are two iconic symbols of Mandalore, as they together ushered in a new age for the planet millennia before theStar Warstimeline of movies and showsbegan. WithStar Wars Outlawsshowcasing these symbols next to that of the Mudhorn, the Song of the Mythosaur could be teased as a prophecy connected to Din Djarin and his foundling.

Is The Mandalorian Era All About The Song Of The Mythosaur?

The Mandalorian’s Story Could Be Much More Impactful Than First Thought

If this turns out to be true upon the release ofThe Mandalorian and Grogu,it could be the case that the entireNew Republic timeline ofStar Wars- also known asThe Mandalorianera - could be shaped by the Song of the Mythosaur. The first few seasons ofThe Mandalorian, and the hints in season 3, certainly gave me reason to believe this was the case. The hints from The Armorer inThe Book of Boba Fettonly further provide me with evidence to think the Song of the Mythosaur will play outinStar Wars’future.

Star Wars Outlaws' symbols could simply be Mandalorian Easter eggs, but the idea of a millennia-old prophecy is much more exciting.

As such,Star Wars Outlawsraises the possibility of it tying to a major prophecy. Combined with the hints at flashbacks also shown inThe Mandalorian and Grogu’s concept art, it could be revealed to us that Tarre Vizsla received a prophecy that will not come to fruition until thousands of years later with Din Djarin and Grogu, the latter of whom has the potential to be a Mandalorian Jedi like Tarre himself. This would giveThe Mandalorian and Groguendless possibilities that I cannot wait to see play out afterStar Wars Outlaws' teases.
