Yeteven Loid Forger is not flawless, and like any other human, he has committed mistakes. Despite how natural it is for humans to err, in Twilight’s case, his error during episode #2 of the anime series, chapter #2 of the manga, could have cost him his life. His sudden comment about Yor’s past, one which he would have no idea about, could have exposed him as a spy.

At That Point in the Series, He Should Have No Knowledge of Yor’s Past
Loid and Yor Forgermay be one of anime’s best current couples, but they began the series as strangers. While attempting to enroll his adoptive daughter, Anya, into Eden Academy, Twilight realized that he would need to find a wife, as the school only allowed children of married couples to join their ranks. It was during these desperate times that Loid came across Yor in a tailor shop. Since both parties needed to pretend to be married, the couple agreed to pretend to be husband and wife.
Yor accepted the offer under one condition: Loid would have to accompany her to a party. Agent Twilight, who had an important mission that day, arrived moments before Yor left the party, injured and disoriented. His wife’s coworker, Camila, tried to humiliate the oldest Briar sibling by insinuating that she used to work as an escort before joining Berlint’s City Hall. This prompted Loid to reply that he was proud of Yor, asshe tried to make an honest living in any way possible after her parent’s tragic deathwhen she was still a child.
While moving, this declaration should have raised Yor’s alarms, as it is extremely unlikely that she would have shared such an intimate detail with a man she had just met. Since the couple had only one conversation, where they agreed to pretend for a night, it would make no sense for Yor to reveal that she was in charge of providing for her and her brother while still young.
Agent Twilight’s knowledge about his fake wife comes from his exhaustive research into her background, but it should have aroused Yor’s suspicions. While it’s true that the Thorn Princess tends to be quite dense most of the time,Loid’s identity could have been revealed that night.

When Loid entered Camila’s house, he introduced himself as Yor’s husband, despite having agreed that he would only claim to be her boyfriend. His lack of restraint when defending Yor was likely caused by his difficulty in concentrating. However, in the end, Twilight’s mistake turns out to be a blessing in disguise, as he ends up fake marrying Yor just a couple of hours later, helping his mission greatly.
The Forger Family may be odd, but they are still some of the most beloved characters in anime.Spy x Familywould not be the same without their hilarious and exciting adventures.
