In the past, Marvel and DC Comics have brought their most iconic characters across company lines for appropriately epic battles complete with universe-ending stakes, but when it comes toSpider-ManandRed Hood, a proper introduction between the two has yet to happen. Leave it to the cosplay community to deliver on this unseen meet-up because, in a new collaboration,Spider-Man and Red Hood come into conflict, setting the stage for a live-action battle for the ages.
Expertly bringing Spider-Man and Red Hood into the real world, Kapture Realm (@kapture_realm) and@dumb_donut1, respectively, are joined by the talented eye of cosplay photographer and editor Mark (@nycosplayer) and have produced live-action images worthy of the characters they’re based on. Previously dressing as a zombified Red Hood, aBatman: Arkham Knight-inspired version of the character, and more, Kapture Realm excels in making comic-accurate designs work in real life, with @dumb_donut1 finding similar success wearing different variations of Spider-Man’s iconic costume, like aSpider-Man: Homecominglook and an outfit sporting overly large white bug eyes.

Crossing over into the DC Universe in 1996’sDC vs. Marvelevent,Spider-Man brushed shoulders with the likes of the Joker, fought Superboy, and later on, fused with himto become the leather jacket-wearing hybrid hero known as Spider-Boy — not to be confused with thetotally different Spider-Boycurrently running around comics. Unfortunately for DC’s resurrected bad boy of the Bat-Family, Red Hood had not yet made his presence known after hisDeath in the Familymurder, resulting in Jason missing out on a wild crossover that has yet to get a proper follow-up almost 30 years later.
Wearing a traditional yetvibrantly detailed Spider-Man outfit, @dumb_donut1 aims a fist at Red Hood’s shiny head, with Mark choosing to set this fight against the backdrop of a torrential downpour only adding to the epic nature of this shot. Not to be outdone by a nerd in red and blue pajamas, Kapture Realm’s Read Hood counters @dumb_donut1 with a pistol in his face, with thenext few photos showing off Spider-Man’s incredible speed as he disarms Red Hood, readies a follow-up “thwip” attack, and then grabs Jason by the throat in a display of honed superhero prowess.

Who Would Win in a Fight Between Marvel’s Spider-Man and DC Comics’ Red Hood?
Marvel and DC have worked together on more than one occasion to get their characters to occupy the same space, but outside of the usual inter-property crossovers, like the recentAliens vs. AvengersandJustice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kongminiseries,no news has been given about a direct sequel toDC vs. Marvel, with 2003’sJLA/Avengerscomic being the last time these heroes and villains interacted.
WhileSpider-Manand Batman have crossed paths twice in one-shot comics,Red Hoodhas yet to have his shot at ol’ Web-Head, making this cosplay image wishful thinking come true.

The most notable of these Spider-Men is Peter Parker, who remains one of the most popular superheroes throughout the world.

Armed with intense combat skills and a moral ambiguity, he challenges Batman’s methods, navigating a path between heroism and anti-heroism in Gotham’s unforgiving streets.
