Hudson Thames: I got a phone call - a very suspicious phone call - saying to show up at Disney Studios at a certain time. I was not told what it was for, why I was going - I had a feeling it was Spider-Man related, because I was kind of having some of those conversations. And yeah -I basically was told to come on down, I met up with the guys, and they kind of laid it on me and kind of asked me on the spot if I wanted to do it, and showed me the footage- and we just knocked it out.
The Official Marvel Podcast: That’s amazing. Was there a feeling when you did the What If…? episode that there would be more Spider-Man to be done? Did you have any idea about that?
Hudson Thames: No, actually. I kind of thought that What If…? - all of the What If…? material - existed in a vacuum, just because the comic kind of did. And so I thought there might be maybe another What If…? episode, but when Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man came down the line, that was such a shock, and I was so stoked.
