In the Octillery card, the red octopus-like Pokémon sits in a bucket of water on a dock, watching a nearby human fish wearing a yellow hat fishing on the opposite side.
When looking at the Basculin card,pokefam_tcg zoomed in to the center of the swarm of angry Basculin, revealing a very familiar hat that they’re ripping up. It doesn’t necessarily confirm a gruesome fate, but it’s hard to ignore the overall implication.

Perhaps Octillery just shot the hat off of the human, butit’s ultimately funnier to believe Octillery couldn’t be bothered by the human’s encounter with the Basculin.
