Rogue has had a few romantic entanglements with X-Men over the years, making her allusion to her sexuality more than just a joke. Her current and most iconic relationship is with Gambit, but during the long era when that relationship was on-and-off, she was romantically involved with Magneto. During theAge of Apocalypseevent, they discovered thatMagneto could cancel out Rogue’s absorption abilities with his own powers, and so the two of them could touch without her draining him.
