Due to release later this year, the emerging details of of the Collection’s contents already show that fans of the Ninja Pokémon will have plenty to look forward to when it arrives. Greninja has been a popular Pokémon since its debut in the franchise, and the Greninja ex cards which have come to the TCG in recent sets have themselves proved to be very powerful in the right deck. As such, a new collection based around Greninja ex is sure to be of great interest to many players and collectors of thePokémon TCG. The popularity of the frog-like Pokémon is not to be underestimated, and ultimately could easily see this new product rival the similarlyupcoming Terapagos ex Ultra-Premium Collectionin popularity.

Pokémon TCG Pocket Release Date, Price, & New Card Game Details Explained
Pokémon TCG Pocket is a new way for players to experience the Pokémon Trading Card Game, here is everything players need to know before it releases.
The Greninja Ex Ultra-Premium Collection Is Expected In November 2024
How Much Will The Pokémon TCG’s New Premium Collection Cost?
Although a precise date has not yet been given,PokéBeachhas reported thatthe Greninja ex Ultra-Premium Collection will be released in November 2024. This is the same month as the Terapagos ex Ultra-Premium Collection, which is itself only listed as coming in“early November”on thePokémon Centerwebsite. As such, this may indicate that a simultaneous release of the two products is planned. Because of this, without more definitive information, there is still the possibility of this apparent synchronicity being more coincidental than not.
It is worth noting that the Greninja ex collection was not listed on thePokémon Centerwebsite alongside the Terapagos ex collection. If the two Ultra-Premium Collections are intended to be released together, this would be a strange decision to make. As such, there is a possibility that the Grenininja ex and Terapagos ex Collections will actually be released at different times of the month. But in either case, it is clear that the two products will be released relatively close together, meaning that some may need to choose which of the two Ultra-Premium Collections they would prefer to purchase.

Similar to the uncertainty over its precise release date, there has yet to be an official confirmation of the Collection’s price. Nevertheless,it seems safe to assume that the Greninja ex Ultra-Premium Collection will cost $119.99, given that this is the price of other such products, including the Terapagos ex Ultra-Premium Collection. Although this would make the product notably expensive, even in comparison to otherPokémon TCGproducts, the sheer range of its contents does provide an understandable reason for the price.
This Collection Features Multiple Guaranteed Greninja Cards
Booster Packs & More Items Are Also Included
Naturally, the Greninja ex Ultra-Premium Collection will feature a set of Greninja ex cards, including the Tera Pokémon ex variant. The Collection will include both a foil-etched and etched metal card version of Tera Greninja ex, as well as a foil promo card of the non-Tera Greninja ex.These will be accompanied by an impressive 16 booster packs, from what appears to be a variety ofScarlet and VioletTCG sets such asTwilight MasqueradeandStellar Crown, as well as a set of eight foil Basic Energy Cards.
While still representing an enormous boost to any collection, the Greninja ex Ultra-Premium Collection’s 16 booster packs are actually two fewer than the number found in the similar Terapagos ex product.

Of course, it is worth noting thatneither of these Greninja cards are new to the TCG. The regular Greninja ex promo was previously released as part of 2023’s Greninja ex Battle Deck, whilst Tera Greninja ex provides one of the mostimpressive Illustration Rares inTwilight Masquerade. Although the version of the card included in this new collection is only the Double Rare version (set number 106/167), Terastallization’s signature crystalline effect still allows it to have some impressive artwork, and the actual in-game mechanics of the card are, of course, the same regardless of its artwork.
Notably, although the Collection guarantees a person can add Tera Greninja ex to their collection ofPokémoncards, the product’s inclusion ofTwilight Masqueradebooster packs does mean that they may obtain an additional copy of the card through simple luck. While unlikely, this would make building a deck based around the card that much easier. On the other hand, the metal version of the card is unique to the Ultra-Premium Collection, a valuable point for collectors, and the Greninja ex promo card is not available in booster packs either.

Greninja ex Collection Also Includes Plenty Of Greninja-Themed Accessories
A Playmat, A Coin, A Deck Box, & More
Beyond the actual cards and booster packs, the Ultra-Premium Collection also includes an array of additional gameplay tools and accessories. In addition to the metallic coin, damage-counter dice and condition counters commonly found in largerPokémon TCGproducts, the Ultra-Premium Collection also includes a playmat and deck box. Naturally, the coin, deck box, and playmat all feature images of Greninja, with the latter specifically using artwork of a Terastallized Greninja with the same Fighting Tera-type as the actual Pokémon card. As such, the full contents of the Greninja ex Ultra-Premium Collection can be summarized as follows:
1

Etched foil Tera Greninja ex card
Etched metal Tera Greninja ex card
Etched foil Greninja ex promo card
16
Deck box
Metallic coin
6
Damage-counter dice
2
Condition markers
Code card forPokémon TCG Live
These additional supplies make sure that the Greninja ex Ultra-Premium Collection appeals not just to collectors of the cards, but to actual players of thePokémon TCGas well. Those with a fondness for the Ninja Pokémon will naturally appreciate the included playmat and other themed items, but these items also help ensure that any buyer is fully prepared to play the game. Of course, it should be noted that additional Energy Cards may well need to be sourced separately, but it is otherwise entirely possible to build the majority of a powerful deck using only the cards provided.
We Can’t Believe Pokémon TCG Is Bringing Back One Of Its Best Card Types After 25 Years
25 years after its debut, these Pokémon cards are reappearing in next year’s sets - and we couldn’t be more excited about their arrival.
The Greninja ex Ultra-Premium Collection allows anyone to build a powerful deck based around Greninja, with two separate versions of Greninja ex available to use. The comprehensive range of accessories are also very useful for any player of thePokémon Trading Card Game, while the included booster packs are sure to be highly appreciated by all. Of course, the presumably high price of this Ultra-Premium Collection does mean that it will not be for everybody, but it does offer plenty to those who are in a position to purchase it.
