In total,there are 243 Pokémon in the Blueberry Pokédex. 181 are entirely new toPokémon Scarlet and Violetwith its inclusion, whilst the other62 Pokémon can also be found in Paldea, Kitakami, or both. Notably, event Pokémon (namely, Walking Wake, Iron Leaves, and Pecharunt) do not count towards Pokédex completion for the sake of the in-game rewards, sothe actual total of required Pokémon is 240. This means that for those who have already put effort into filling out their Pokédex before reaching Blueberry Academy, up to a full quarter of their Blueberry Pokédex could already be completed.
Of course, many more hours of battling, catching, and trading will be required to obtain the remaining Pokémon , but there is an interesting reward for doing so: the Mark Charm.The Mark Charm can be obtained by talking to Director Cyrano after registering 240 Pokémonin Blueberry Academy’s regional Pokédex, and as the name suggests, gives players a greater chance of finding wild Pokémon with Marks. More specifically, the chances of a wild Pokémon having a Mark is tripled, although it should be noted Wanderers (Wild Pokémon with a fixed spawn) and Pokémon spawned in Mass Outbreaks are not affected.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s Hardest-To-Catch Pokémon For Pokédex Completion
Scarlet and Violet feature some of the hardest to catch Pokémon in the series’ history, from incredibly low spawn rates to obscure evolution methods.
As is customary for completing any Regional Pokédex, the player will also receive a digital certificate celebrating their achievement. For the Blueberry Pokédex, this is a diploma with a Terapagos design. The Blueberry Pokédex Diploma is actually given to the player by Clavell after Cyrano explains the situation, although the virtual document is signed by the Game Freak team rather than the NPC. But this isn’t all that working to complete the Blueberry Pokedex offers; as withPokémon Scarlet and Violet’s other Regional Pokédexes,the Blueberry Pokédex also offers an incremental series of rewards for catching new Pokémon.

Beginning at 90 Pokémon, for every 10 Pokémon registered in the Blueberry Pokédex, players can claim a prizeby pressing the X button while the Pokédex’s listing page is open. These prizes are a mixture of particularly valuable items, including various rare evolution items and Pokéballs; for example,the initial 90 Pokémon reward is an Ability-changing Ability Capsule, which is usually bought for 100,000 Pokédollars. This pairs well with the second to last reward, which is an Ability Patch. This item, which unlocks a Pokémon’s Hidden Ability, is itself otherwise purchasable for 125,000 Pokédollars.
Furthermore, offered for 140 registered entries,the final prize in this chain is a Master Ball. Although players can technically obtaininfinite Master Balls inThe Indigo Disk, the sheer power of Master Balls still makes this a worthy reward for completing such a challenge. Of course, the same condition also ironically means that players will have little use for it. Although with that being said, having a spare Master Ball can certainly come in handy should one encounter a Shiny Pokémon. Completing the Blueberry Pokédex offers a variety of rewards to the player most of which are quite practical. The ability to encounter more Pokémon with Marks helps to provide wild Pokémon with greater personality and individuality in the late game, providing more incentive to capture more even after the Pokédex has been completed. Similarly, the constant supply of milestone rewards provide more manageable targets for one to aim for, whilst still bringing them ever-closer to capturing every Pokémon in the second half ofPokémon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC.
