Agatha All Along’slatest episode has become the second-highest-rated episode ofMCUTV ever. TheWandaVisionsequel wasn’t a project on many people’s radars, but the series has quickly become one of the MCU’s best releases of the Multiverse Saga. Following the witch Agatha Harkness after she is freed from Westview, she travels with her coven on the Witches’ Road in order to try and regain her full powers. The show has introduced some interesting new characters tothe MCU timeline, and they’ve been backed up with excellent performances.

Agatha All Along Episode 7 Is Its Highest Rated For Good Reason

Agatha All Alongepisode 7 featured yet another trial, this time for the divination witch Lilia Calderu. Patti LuPone’s MCU role has been a big hit with fans, and this episode proved why the studio cast her stellar talent in the first place. After finally being able to piece together her fragmented premonitions,Lilia learns that it is her fate to die on the Witches’ Roadin order to save her coven. The episode culminates in a beautiful scene where, after helping the group complete the trial, Lilia sacrifices herself to defeat the Salem Seven for good.

Lilia had multiple random outbursts in previous episodes, but episode 7 showed all of them in context. Her full circle moment was not only well executed from a story standpoint, but it was also done in an interesting visual way, as wasthe reveal of the Tarot cards. For dedicated fans of the show, it felt like there was some real payoff from their investment. Another great reveal that the episode made was Rio Vidal’s true identity. She officially appeared in her Lady Death form, with one of the MCU’s coolest character designs to date.

The Only Episode Of MCU TV To Score Higher Than Agatha All Along

There is only one other episode of MCU television that has scored higher than episode 7 ofAgatha All Along.Lokihad been a success with fans since its first season, but the show truly peaked in theLokiseason 2 ending.“Glorious Purpose” currently has a well-deserved 9.4 score on IMDB. The episode had what was arguably Tom Hiddleston’s best performance as Loki to date, as viewers could truly feel his desperation to save the various timelines. For MCU fans who have loved Loki since his Phase 1 debut, the episode was a poetic end for the character.

Loki season 2’s finale is massive for the MCU as well as for the God of Mischief who’s found his ultimate glorious purpose while saving the TVA.

It’s no coincidence that the two highest-rated MCU TV episodes feature a character’s story coming full circle, as character development is something that Marvel excelled at during their peak. Though “Death’s Hand In Mine” currently trails behind “Glorious Purpose,” the latter has almost 25k more ratings as it’s been out for nearly a year. There is still plenty of room for the viewer rating ofAgatha All Alongepisode 7 to change, but the episode’s successes will always be remembered by fans regardless.
