Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Battle Destinyis finally getting an English release this year, thanks to a new remaster. It’s part ofthe much widerGundamfranchiseof anime series, movies, games, and snap-together plastic model kits, which began with the animeMobile Suit Gundamin 1979.SEED Battle Destinyis set within that world, specifically based onGundam SEED, allowing players to pit the series' characteristic mechas against each other in a series of story-focused battles.
As announced by a trailer on the officialBandai NamcoYouTube channel,SEED Battle Destinyis finally coming to the west with a remaster due out on June 21, 2025. (No word on platforms yet, but as it’s a remaster of a Vita game, it should be playable on a wide variety of modern consoles.) Available options will draw from the SEED, Destiny, Stargazer, Astray, X Astray, VS Astray, MSV, and Destiny MSV, potentially among others. There’s also a deeper system of customization, which allows players to fine-tune their equipped Mobile Suits to allow for different playstyles.
With the lack of an English release, there’s still a lot we don’t know. Few of theGundam Battlegames have ever been released outside Asia, so this will likely be an entirely new kind of adventure for manyGundamfans.
