Netflix’sMan on Firehas cast a Marvel Cinematic Universe star in a major guest role. The upcoming show, which is based on the same 1980 A.J. Quinnell novel that inspired the 2004 Tony Scott movie starring Denzel Washington, is being written and executive produced byLone StarandAwakecreator Kyle Killen. The cast already includes Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as ex-CIA operative John W. Creasy, who has PTSD and is dragged back into the fray during a dangerous incident involving a kidnapping.
PerVariety,Bobby Cannavale has just joined the cast of theMan on Fireshowin a guest star capacity as Paul Rayburn, an old friend of Creasy who is a former Special Forces soldier. The character also appeared in the 2004 movie as played by Christopher Walken, playing a major role in several key sequences. At the time of writing, it is unknown for how many episodes Cannavale will appear in the role.
