Do you remember howRoboCop: Rogue Citywas coming to Switch? No you don’t, because it’s not happening! Nacon has confirmed that their plans for a Switch version has been quietly tossed in the dumpster.
This might not be much of a surprise. The Switch logo hasn’t been shown on the game’s trailers since at least the Future Games Show that was held in August. It was, on the other hand, on its gameplay reveal trailer from last year. So, it seems that a Switch version was at least considered.Gematsu reachedout to Nacon to get confirmation and was told, “At this moment, we don’t have any plans for a Nintendo Switch release.”

Normally for a licensed game, this wouldn’t be a huge loss, butI recently played theRobocop: Rogue Citydemo, and it instantly shot up my list of anticipated games. I was not expecting that. Not only does it capture the feel of being a walking refrigerator, it also ties in deeper elements to complement its gunplay. My only question at this point is if it can maintain that quality for the game’s runtime. If so, I’ll be stunned, blown away, and many other hyperbolic statements that will hopefully get me into the accolades trailer.
As I mentioned, however, a Switch version ofRobocop: Rogue Citywas never heavily advertised to start with. However, there’s evidence that it was considered, but they decided not to go through with it. This might have been technical difficulties, lack of budget, or any number of other reasons. Still, it’s a bummer for gamers who prefer to stick to Nintendo’s handheld hybrid.

Did I mention how amped I am for this game?
RoboCop: Rogue Cityis still coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 09, 2025. And I’m very excited.
