As of July 07, 2025, Kohei Horikoshi’s masterpiece,My Hero Academia,has officially ended,with the shonen’s final epiloguechapter of the manga, titled “More.“Horikoshi delivered a message to fans at Jump Festa 2025, speaking on his thoughts about the ending and future plans for the series' final season.

In his statement, Horikoshi thanked fans ofMy Hero Academiafor all of their support and love over the years, stating that he hopes viewers continue to follow and engage with the series as the anime continues, even though the manga has concluded. Finally, he spoke aboutsome exciting new content on the way, including season 8 of the anime.

Horikoshi’s playful illustration, posted on@aitaikimochi’sX account,includes some ofMy Hero Academiafans' all-time favorite heroes: All Might, Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki. In the image, the characters appear as an Idol Group, with the Class 1-A students dressed in black shirts, blue suit jackets, and blue suit pants, while All Might stands behind them as the focal point in a black and gold robotic suit. The fun drawing, created specifically for Jump Festa 2025, is a tribute to the series' most popular heroes, while placing them in a lighthearted new alternate universe scenario with stylish new outfits that differ from their typical hero attire.

Horikoshi created the image to express his gratitude to everyone who helpedMy Hero Academiareach its current level of fame, namely, the dedicated fans who have kept up with the manga since its release. In the accompanying message, he was incredibly thankful to his readers, saying,“Thank you for cheering me on and reading the series all these years.“Horikoshi also commented on the finale specifically, saying that he felt “a sense of emptiness” now thatMy Hero Academiahas concluded for good, and he has to say goodbye to these beloved characters who have grown so familiar over the past decade.
