Trapis a better movie than its mixed reviews and box office numbers indicate.Hartnett delivers a multi-faceted and highly entertaining performanceas he seamlessly slides between playing the likable Cooper and the nefarious Butcher. The unique premise takes full advantage of the drama and humor of a serial killer trying to avoid the authorities at a pop concert.Trap’s endingis satisfying and while there are twists that may not be shocking, they make sense and do not feel as forced compared to previous Shyamalan movies. These elements have led toTrapcontinuing to do well on streaming.
