In a new interview withCollider, Colter was asked if Luke Cage may finally get his due in the MCU again, following Marvel Studios officially making the Marvel-Netflix shows canon to the overall timeline, andDaredevil: Born Againfurther raising hopes about Netflix’s Marvel heroes reappearing in the franchise. Colter expressed his own hopes for a potential Luke Cage return, as he shared the following response:

With Colter clearly ready to reprise the role, Luke Cage appearing again in the MCU seems very much possible.
It’s key to also remember that when it comes to asking MCU actors about potential returns across the franchise,there is always the chance that conversations are already happening that they simply can’t reveal in interviews. In a scenario where Colter and Marvel Studios are actively having discussions about how to bring Luke into the fold, he wouldn’t be able to reveal it to the public either way until it’s official. In addition to that, having Colter return as Luke as a surprise would also be a huge way to shock viewers when they least expect to see him.

Since the Marvel-Netflix shows have been properly made canon within the MCU, having other figures from this era appear in the MCU feels like almost too good of an opportunity to pass up on. Hopefully, whether it’s inDaredevil: Born Againseason 2 or later, Colter will get a chance to come back as Luke Cage once again in theMCU.
