Jung Mo-eum & Kang Dan-ho’s Romance Has Been A Highlight Of Love Next Door

Their Relationship Is Full of Mutual Respect

Compared to Seok-ryu and Seung-hyo’s friends-to-lovers narrative, the romantic storyline of Jung Mo-eum (Kim Ji-eun) and Kang Dan-ho (Yun Ji-on) is very different. Their love story follows another traditional K-drama route, where the two characters continue to cross paths with one another seemingly by coincidence (or rather, fate) as Dan-ho moves next door to Mo-eum with his young daughter, Yeon-du (Shim Ji-yoo). Though the initial stages of Mo-eum and Dan-ho’s relationship have had the same scrappy flair asLove Next Door’s main cast, watching their unique dynamic develop has continued to draw viewers in week after week.

Love Next Door Revives 1 Of The Best Things About Jung So-min’s Greatest K-Drama Role

Two years after the release of her last show, Jung So-min’s latest K-drama brings back one of the best things about her fan-favorite role.

In this scene, actorsKim Ji-eun and Kang Dan-ho effortlessly balance dramatic performances with stellar comedic timing. It began in true rom-com fashion, with Mo-eum throwing Dan-ho to the ground in the street before the scene progressed into something more intimate as they shared how the deaths and illnesses of those around them had affected them. This change of pace certainly could have been jarring, but Kim Ji-eun and Kang Dan-ho’s acting was flawless. They had the utmost respect for their characters and situations, allowing them to express their grief without being burdened by their own walls.

The two actors gave their all to the scene, delivering tears full of heavy emotions before sharply bringingLove Next Doorback to its rom-com roots.

Dan-ho’s passive approach to the scene was perfect. He simply sat and listened, giving Mo-eum the space she needed to express her feelings on her own terms. When Mo-eum similarly reciprocated this for Dan-ho, the effect was breathtaking. The two actors gave their all to the scene, delivering tears full of heavy emotions before sharply bringingLove Next Doorback to its rom-com roots as Mo-eum kissed Dan-ho and ran away. What To Expect Next From Mo-eum & Dan-ho’s Relationship

K-drama Conventions Predict Good Things For The Couple

Following Mo-eum’s indirect confession to Dan-ho, there’s sure to be more to come from one of thebest K-drama second-lead couples. In the episode 11 preview,Mo-eum still feels embarrassed by her impulsive actionsas she throws a bag on her head and runs away after Dan-ho appears. This suggests that their romantic-comedy antics are far from over, particularly as Mo-eum has yet to confess her feelings to Dan-ho with words. However, it could also make room for Dan-ho to confess to Mo-eum instead, asLove Next Doorheavily implies his feelings are reciprocated.

Though there isn’t much else known about Mo-eum and Dan-ho’s future,Love Next Door’s classic use of K-drama tropes indicates that they will most likely begin to date very soon. Mo-eum’s infatuation with both Dan-ho and his daughter, Yeon-du, has already helped her to feel like a natural part of their family dynamic, and the progression of Mo-eum and Dan-ho’s relationship will most likely see it continue.Love Next Doormay still have a few more tricks up its sleeve, but hopefully, it will bring something positive for its stellar second leads following Mo-eum’s confession.
