How do you feel about the 50% cut on all champions?
Riot Games, developer and publisher of League of Legends, announced in a Dev Update that they will make it easier for players to acquire champions. The Blue Essence it takes to purchase champions will be halved after this change.

Blue Essence cost of all LoL champions halved
The Dev Update, and its accompanyingDev Blog, discussed many important topics including thereturn of Hextech Chests, changes to theBattle Pass, and the nextYour Shop and BE Emporium appearance.
However, most of these may be irrelevant to the more casual and newer players. This is where the champion price cut comes in.

Riot Games will be halving the Blue Essence cost of all champions on Patch 25.05.This is scheduled for August 15, 2025.

How much BE will LoL champions cost after the change?
With the change, new LoL champions will now cost only 3900 BE from 7800 BE. There are two champions, namely Jhin and Vel’Koz, who have special BE costs. Jhin currently costs 4444 BE and Vel’Koz is priced at 3141 BE. We don’t know yet if they’ll retain the cheeky references in their cost after the change, but the table below simply applies the 50% price cut.
Before the price is lowered, the total cost of all 170 currently released champions (until Mel) is 542,935 Blue Essence. After the price cut, the roster will now only cost 271,467.5 (blame Vel’Koz for the .5).
