Kaosseason 2 gets an optimistic and detailed update from creator Charlie Covell. Consisting of eight episodes and debuting on Netflix in late August,Kaoshas a dual focus. On one side, there’s Zeus (Jeff Goldblum). He’s paranoid, beginning to fear the end of his reign as he grows more vengeful towards humanity. It also centers on three humans who discover their connection to an ancient prophecy while battling the corrupt gods of classical mythology.

In an interview withCosmopolitan UK, Covell was asked about the chances ofKaosseason 2. The show creator, writer, and executive producer mentioned his hope that the first season could be satisfying in its own right. Buthe also revealed his hopes for the show’s futureand noted that Netflix has supported the fantasy series even though a season 2 renewal is not confirmed yet, quoting: “Not yet, but they’ve been very supportive of it.” Read the full comments below:

There’s definitely more. I also didn’t want to do an ending that was a total cliffhanger. I hope that it feels satisfying as a season one in its own right, and there’s always hope for the more. Because I really would love to do more and work with those actors and that team. It was a bit of a dream come true.

How Does Kaos Set Up Season 2?

Zeus Is Not Doing So Well.

So much of the fantasy dramedy is fueled by Zeus' own paranoia about the fact that he may be losing his status as an all-power being. Butby the end ofKaosseason 1, his worst fears have come true, ashe is no longer immortal. His dream, in which he cuts his finger and bleeds, turns out to be more of a vision. This is one resolution that proves satisfying in its own right, while still setting up a potential continuation.

If it’s the case that the dramedyranks consistently in the Top 10 on the streamer’s global charts in the coming weeks and months, then there’s a good chance that the show creator can further explore the world of a paranoid Zeus.

As with many streaming shows, particularly in the sci-fi and fantasy genre, the Netflix series works on a close-ended basis while leaving the door open just enough for a potential continuation. Whether that continuation happensdepends on howKaosperforms on Netflix’s Top 10in the coming weeks and months.
