DC Comics has just released its batch of April solicitations and while it maybe the Summer of Superman, it’s all about the Blue Blur and his adventures with the Justice League in the second issue of the much-anticipated crossover,DC x Sonic the Hedgehog.
The solicited information forDC x Sonic the Hedgehog #2reveals that the Justice League has officially teamed up with Sonic and his pals to stop Darkseid from destroying the hedgehog’s home. As one of the most well-known superhero teams, the Justice League has had crossovers with numerous properties over the years. Just last year, the team faced off against a number of the MonsterVerse’s Titans inJustice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong. And before that, the premier super-team and its members have fought alongside other, unexpected heroes, such as the protagonists ofBlack Hammer, the Power Rangers, and even the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But it wasn’t until earlier this year thatnews of a crossover between DC Comics and Sonic the Hedgehog came to light, igniting interest among fans everywhere.
Granted, the Justice League has worked with some of the most powerful beings in the DC Universe and beyond. But Sonic the Hedgehog is no slouch. Aside from being the fastest creature in his universe, Sonic has faced off with several powerful enemies, many of which rival the League’s biggest threats. Of course, Darkseid is a force unto himself and if he manages to get a hold of the Chaos Emeralds, things could get bad very quickly. But the Justice League has fought Darkseid in dozens of realities andhaving Sonic’s help all but assures the heroes will ultimately win.

Darkseid has Omega Beams on his side, but if anyone could outrace such a powerful attack, it’d be Sonic. But Sonic is more than just an incredibly fast hedgehog who’s also quick with the jokes. Sonic is clever and relentlessly determined. He’s faced odds that could have easily ended in his death, but he’s always managed to find a way to come out on top. And it doesn’t hurt that he’ll have the resources of the DC Universe’s greatest heroes on his side. Darkseid may want to look out becauseSonicand theJustice Leaguemight have a winning partnership.
