Wonder Woman’s Daughter, Trinity, Gets to Shine in Her Own Miniseries
DC Comics is Building on Her Hilarious and Beloved Backup Stories
After making her debut appearance in a story set in the future inWonder Woman #800, Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Prince was finally born inWonder Woman #14. Diana, still grieving from losing Steve Trevor at the hands of the Sovereign, used pieces of her’s and Steve’s souls to bring life into a child made from clay. While Lizzie is still an infant in the modern-day DCU, her life has been explored inWonder Woman’sbackup stories, which largely showTrinity’s lifelong relationship with her fellow next-gen heroes, Damian Wayne and Jon Kent, and the chaos she brings to their lives.
Ortega and King’s backups were a huge hit with fans and gave a lot of needed characterization to Lizzie, who’s just a baby in the Prime DCU. And judging by the solicitations, this book is going to carry the same spirit and charm that those backup stories had. Heck, the preview pages even show a return of Jon and Damian’s corgi forms from one of the most beloved backup stories yet. But aside from putting her in the limelight, the real interesting thing here is Trinity’s overall mission: Traveling across time and space on a mission to save her father.

Wonder Woman’s Daughter is Going All-Out to Save Her Father
This is the Perfect First Big Mission for Trinity
With Steve gone, a real piece of Wonder Woman lore has been missing from Trinity’s life. Trinity’s stories so far have been more on the silly side and while it appears this miniseries will have plenty of screwball comedy, it’ll also have a real emotional heart to it. Trinity is still very new to the DCU and she needs a moment to show what she can do on her own. Going out into the world and searching high and low for Steve Trevor is the perfect way forWonder Woman’sdaughter to showcase her talents to the world.
Trinity: Daughter of Wonder Woman #1is available on June 11th from DC Comics.
