Iron Man’sAsgardian “Iron Destroyer” armor has received a powerful redesign thanks to amazing fan artfrom the online artist Kobe Abdo. When Odin Borson’s fearmongering older brother, Cul Borson aka the Serpent, invaded Earth, Tony Stark forged a new set of armor from the Nidavellirian mystical metal known as uru. The resulting armor was imbued with the same magical properties that other uru-forged weapons, like Mjölnir, are known for.

First shared on Instagram by Kobe Abdo (@bosslogic), this fan art redesign serves as a potential what-if of what could be for extended comic book media, oftentimes being confused online with official concept art. The artist’s depiction of the Iron Destroyer armor emphasizes Iron Man’s full creative and ingenious capabilities as both a hero and an inventor, inspiring fans to think about the armor’s full capabilities, if Tony Stark hadn’t scrapped it so early.

This Brilliant Fan Art Highlights Iron Man’s Underused “Iron Destroyer” Armor

As imagined in Kobe Abdo’s art, his version of the mystical armor fully shows the original armor’s deadly energy beam as well as similar magical mandalas that Doctor Strange is seen employing in the MCU.

Based on the Asgardian sentinel weapon known simply as the “Destroyer,”the Iron Destroyer armorwas infused with Odin’s divine will, making it nearly indestructible. However, past that detail, the armor was never actually seen used in battlem despite the considerable build-up that led to its creation. Assuming the armor was equipped with the same spectrum of powers the Destroyer possesses, such as an adaptable energy beam powerful enough to cut through uru or obliterate entire planets, the Iron Destroyer armor would be fully capable of harnessing Asgardian magic, especially that ofthe Power of the All-Father.

As imagined in Kobe Abdo’s art, his version of the mystical armor fully shows the original armor’s deadly energy beam as well as similar magical mandalas that Doctor Strange is seen employing in the MCU. However, just as it was for Tony Starkduring theFear Itselfevent, the Iron Destroyer could only be wielded momentarily. Powered by the life force of others, the original Destroyerusually dominates the will of its power sources with its own, so it could be assumed that the Iron Man armor would possess a similar drawback.

However, after Thor’s nephew, Zeus, was resurrected with the powers of another Elder God sibling, Utgard-Thor, his mind and soul were twisted with the same malevolent power the other Elder Gods’ plan on releasing.
