Jonathan Banks' Brit & Aaron Paul’s Powerplex Briefly Reunite In Invincible Season 3, Episode 7
Although They Don’t Exchange Dialog, Banks & Paul’s Characters Do Interact On Screen
AfterInvincibleseason 3 cut Brit from Cecil’s originstory, it seemed like the Image Comics character may not appear in the series, but Jonathan Banks voiced the hero in season 3, episode 7, and he shared a scene with Aaron Paul’s Powerplex. Brit’s cameo was a surprise given he was absent earlier in the season, but seeing him involved in the Invincible War was a welcome twist, especially since it allows Banks and Paul to have a stealthy reunion. Although their characters never spoke to each other, Brit took Powerplex into custody after he had another aggressive outburst.
Aaron Paul’s Standout Performance In 99% RT Prime Video Series Perfectly Showcases One Of His Underrated Talents
Aaron Paul’s latest role in Prime Video’s hit superhero series was unforgettable, and it was a reminder of the actor’s range and versatility
Paul put in a fantastic performance in the previous episode, so seeing him back so soon was a breath of fresh air, and having his character dragged away by his formerBreaking Badcostar was a nice touch. The pair had some great scenes together inBreaking Bad, and it felt likeInvinciblewanted to pay homage to the iconic show’s most underrated duo. While it may seem like nothing more than a fun Easter Egg,Brit and Powerplex’s small yet brief interaction appears to have a deeper meaning than first meets the eye, based on Jesse and Mike’s relationship.

Brit Leading Away An Emotional Powerplex Feels A Lot Like Jesse & Mike’s Relationship In Breaking Bad
Invincible Seemed To Repeat Mike’s Calm Leadership & Jessie’s Emotional Outbursts Through Brit & Powerplex
Brit and Powerplex’s dynamic during the Invincible War’s aftermath feels extremely similar to Jesse and Mike’sBreaking Badrelationship. Just like with Mike, Jonathan Banks plays the calm, senior figure inInvincible, who tries to defuse the younger character’s temper. Although Powerplex is a father and not quite as young and impressionable as Aaron Paul’sBreaking Badcharacter, he still shares some similarities with Jesse. His life only falls apart because of the protagonist, who eventually turns him into a tragic character with an explosive personality, indicating that Powerplex and Jesse are eerily alike, as are Mike and Brit.

Although the actors’Invincibleinteraction may be a one-off, it could also indicate that there is more to come for Powerplex and Brit. Having Brit temper the villain and help him find redemption would be a fun dynamic that somewhat veers away from Banks and Paul’sBreaking Baddynamic, while still paying homage to Jesse and Mike’s personalities. Hopefully, this small scene is planting seeds for something bigger between the duo, andhaving Paul and Banks actually share dialog again would be a fantastic throwback that provides yet another reason for viewers to watchInvincible.
