Infinity Nikkiis a brand-new action/adventure gacha game, and within the very first week of its release people have already begun cheating. This is odd for a few reasons, the biggest one being thatInfinity Nikkiisn’t a PvP game so cheating seems strange. Furthermore, it’s a very cozy, dress-up-focused game with such low stakes, so anything a player would normally cheat on isn’t really relevant.

Infold Gamesannounced on X that it had banned over 80 accounts that were caught cheating. There’s no PvP inInfinity Nikki, only very basic combat against enemies. Nikki only has one attack and anassortment of Ability Outfitsthat allow her to jump, float, and interact with the world in unique ways. The main focus of the gameplay is dressing up and competing in Styling Challenges against NPCs, but it was still found that people are cheating anyway.

Infinity Nikki Doesn’t Have PvP, What Does Cheating Do?

From Free Pulls To Increased Points, There Aren’t Any Limits

As mentioned previously,Infinity Nikkiis a gacha game, and gachas make the most money off their ability to motivate players to spend money on pulls and premium currency, but it’s also a free-to-play game. This means that many of the playerbase are unwilling to spend more than a few dollars, if any at all, to enjoy what the game has to offer, but these F2P players will likely feel like they’re missing out.If a player is desperate enough, they might be inclined to find ways to get free in-game resources to avoid spending money.

Infold wants to protect the players who aren’t cheating, providing the same gameplay experience to all players.

Infold, in the same announcement on X, explains that cheating “undermine[s] the fair and positive atmosphere we strive to maintain and create an unjust experience for Stylists who play honestly.” Cheating at the gacha, or in order to gain more premium currency, devalues the efforts of those who don’t cheat, and Infold wants to protect all the people who aren’t cheating, providing the same gameplay experience to all players.

There are many ways toget free Diamonds inInfinity Nikki, without cheating.

It could also be that people who cheated didn’t want to collect the resources needed to craft some of the outfits players are provided. The resource gathering can be a bit tedious, but one of the selling points of the game is that it’s slow-paced and cozy.If players don’t enjoy one of the game’s main mechanics and tasks, perhapsInfinity Nikkiisn’t the game for them. Either way, 83 accounts have been permanently banned per Infold’s report on December 8th, 2024, which bodes well for the future ofInfinity Nikkifor a few reasons.

Infold’s Response To Cheaters Signals A Bright Future For The Game

The Studio’s Attentiveness To Service Shows Through Frequent Updates

Anyone followingInfinity Nikkion X or in their Discord will know that theNikkiteam has been nothing but forthcoming with its updates and communication since the game came out on December 5, and the studio’s response to cheaters shows how much it cares about makingInfinity Nikkia success. Many dev teams, most notoriously those behindOverwatch 2,CS:GO,and other FPS games, tend to have a hard time routing out cheaters in their games to the point where it begins to kill player enthusiasm.
