One big aspect ofInfinity Nikkiis the ability to take breathtaking in-game photos, but one player discovered that all it takes is a mistimed click to ruin a perfect shot.Infinity Nikkiis a cozy open-world exploration game that has plenty to do, from gathering materials for unique outfits to completing puzzles, fighting monsters, and uncovering collectibles. The game also has a robust photography mode that lets players choose the lighting, camera settings, pose, and more, for some professional-looking in-game pictures.
Players have been creating some absolutely stunning photos showcasing the game’s beautiful outfits and locations. But the titular character, Nikki, is not always quite as photogenic as the shared images imply. Reddit userhighkerrshared a photo that they took whereNikki looks like she’s having an off day.“Accidentally took this picture of Nikki too early in the pose,” says the Redditor.

The image shows Nikki with her face oddly lit from one side and her eyes staring down awkwardly, giving her a goofy appearance. The poster writes that they thought the image looked familiar, andplaces it side by side with a similarly disheveled-looking Barbie meme image.
Infinity Nikki Has A Useful Pose Freeze Feature
The Feature Allows Players To Capture The Exact Moment They Want
Infinity Nikki’sphotography mode is very realistic, down to being able to control the aperture and depth of focus of the camera. In photo mode, Nikki also continues to be a (metaphorically) living, breathing being. This means thatshe continues to move even when she’s in a certain pose, making each pose highly customizable to each situation. Players can time their shots to show Nikki at a very specific point in her pose, for the perfect moment for the image.
For some poses, it’s possible to toggle an option that has Nikki track the camera with her eyes for more intense photos where she is looking straight at the viewer.

As highkerr found out, though, it can be hard to time the photo capture right with a moving subject. Luckily, developers InFold have thought of that, and addeda feature that lets players pick out the specific point in the pose they want and freeze it. This will cause Nikki to hold the pose in place and stop moving until the player releases her. It’s also possible to move the pose track bar to maneuver Nikki into optimal positioning for the best photo. Unfortunately, Nikki does still need to blink, which still makes it possible to get a shot of her with her eyes half closed, just like in real life.
Infinity Nikki Players Have Generated Many Stunning Pictures
It’s Reassuring To Know Even Nikki Doesn’t Always Look Her Best
Redditor highkerr shared the image they were trying to capture and, when captured at the right moment, it’s gorgeous. There have been so many absolutely beautiful images shared by players thatshow off the graphics, environments, and detailed outfits ofInfinity Nikki. These pictures, like any real-world social media, typically only show Nikki looking her best.
There’s no question that the game is a beautiful one, made even more special by the fact that it’s entirely free to play. But I think there’ssomething reassuring about seeing the perfect Nikki look significantly less perfect, even if this isn’t the intent of the pose feature.Infinity Nikkiis a stunning game but this image from the Reddit post is a reminder that sometimes, life catches us mid-blink despite our best efforts.
