I foundChanning Tatum’s Gambitto be one of the most exciting and satisfying characters to appear in Marvel Studios’Deadpool & Wolverine, as the actor had lobbied for the role of the Cajun mutant for almost two decades. Since auditioning for the part in 2006’sX-Men: The Last Stand, Channing Tatum was repeatedly robbed of playing Gambit in 20th Century Fox’sX-Menfranchise.
I enjoyed Channing Tatum’s portrayal of Gambit inDeadpool & Wolverine, he was the focus of some of my favorite jokes, and some of the movie’s most memorable and badass moments. Because of this, I was thrilled to hear thatChanning Tatum is in conversation with Marvel Studiosabout possibly returning as the hero.
