TheMarvel Cinematic Universemight not lose one fan-favorite character that theories claimed would die in 2025, as I’m convinced a franchise star just revealed their character’s fate. I’m very excited about theMCU’s 2025 movies and series. Last year was notably leaner for Marvel releases. That was to be expected, asthe 2023 Hollywood strikes led to several delays across the industry. In addition to that, Marvel completely overhauled its TV department. Instead of focusing on limited series at a fast pace,MCU TV showswill now be multi-season and have longer development pipelines, which is a win.
Marvel Studios' upcoming projectsthis year include five more TV shows, between animation and live-action, and two movies. Withmajor projects likeThunderbolts*,The Fantastic Four: First Steps, andDaredevil: Born Againon the way, I’m convinced that we could lose some surprising characters in 2025. Many of the MCU’s offerings this year have incredibly high stakes, with terrifying and powerful villains making it difficult for the projects not to include a few deaths. That is why manyMCU characters are rumored to die in 2025. Thankfully, one I hoped would live might just do that after a new update.
Karen Page Will Be Back For Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

Karen Page is one of the characters from Netlifx’sDaredevilwho has been on quite a journey. After the original show was canceled, Marvel Studios announcedDaredevil: Born Againwould bring back the franchise years later. However,Karen was not part of the initial story for the MCU series. I was not at all a fan of that decision, so when it was revealed that a creative overhaul had happened and that Karen, Foggy Nelson, Bullseye, and more NetflixDaredevilcharacters would return in the show, I was ecstatic.
Now, we have confirmation that Deborah Ann Woll’s journey as Karen Page will not end with the new show’s first season. Speaking toEntertainment Tonighton theDaredevil: Born Againpremiere’s red carpet,Woll revealed that she will be back as Karen in season 2. According to the MCU star, the scripts for season 2 are “amazing.” The second season of Marvel Studios' Daredevil series begins filming on Friday, February 28th, and Marvel’s Head of Streaming, Brad Winderbaum, has teased in interviews that seasons 3 and beyond are the hope forDaredevil: Born Again.
I’m Convinced This Means Karen Will Not Die In Season 1
Deborah Ann Woll’sDaredevil: Born Againseason 2 return is quite interesting. Before the show’s creative overhaul, it was rumored that the reason why Foggy and Karen did not appear in the series would be explained by themhaving been killed in betweenDaredevilseason 3 and the reboot/sequel series. Adding to that, when the characters were announced to return, it was also revealed that Marvel was bringing back Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye. When I heard of this, I was immediately afraid for Karen, as he had a bone left to pick with her over their Netflix history.

While she could return in the new season as a hallucination, in flashbacks, and more, I fully believe Karen will survive season 1.

AfterDaredevil: Born Again’s creative overhaul, Scardapane wrote a new pilot for the show and co-wrote season 1’s final two episodes. Interestingly,Karen Page is reportedly in three episodes, so she goes away after the premiere and returns later, at the end of the season. Her role in the final two episodes should connect to her season 2 story.

While I now feel fairly sure that Karen Page is safe, sadly, I’m fully convinced that Foggy Nelson is going to die inDaredevil: Born Again. During the press tour for the upcoming MCU series, Matt Murdock star Charlie Cox has commented multiple times about howthere is a major tragedy early in the seasonthat completely changes Daredevil’s life and how he acts going forward. It’s likely directly related to the “line that was crossed” from the show’s first trailer. Adding to it, we have already seen what happens.
Daredevil: Born Againset videos and photosrevealed thatBullseye shoots Foggy Nelson. The moment happens outside of Josie’s, the bar Karen, Foggy, and Matt went to together in Netflix’sDaredevil. After Daredevil arrives to tackle Bullseye, the images show a bloody Foggy on the ground and Karen with blood on her face and a gun in hand. If there is to be a major death in the series, I put my money on Foggy being killed by Bullseye, with Karen leaving after a time jump, only to return at the end ofDaredevil: Born Againseason 1.
