In an interview withScreenRant, Usher hypes upPulse. While the actor could not “give away storypoints,” he said that it “has the feel of early Grey’s Anatomy.” He called the series “sexy,” “romantic,” and “dramatic.” He also noted that the show is “polar opposites from The Boys,” one of the actor’s other major series. Jessie T. Usher:Yeah, Pulse is a medical drama, so Netflix, it’ll be airing sometime this spring. I play Dr. Elijah. I can’t give away storypoints on it, but it has the feel of early Grey’s Anatomy. It’s sexy, and it’s romantic, and it’s dramatic in a lot of ways. It was one heck of an experience. It’s the polar opposites from The Boys, so that was nice. I didn’t realize how dark and twisted my filmmaking mind had been until I got over to a show where we’re saving people instead of killing them. So, it’s just nice to flip the switch. Yeah, it’s a nice break. “Well, we’re saving lives instead of taking them. Thank god. Okay, I forgot people still do that on TV.”
