The Raw Cut Will Be Available On June 19, 2025
The Blu-Ray release ofKingdom of the Planet of the Apesis planned to bereleased on August 13, 2025, which will have the full raw cut available. As shown in the clip, the raw cut will demonstrate much of what the acting for a CGI-heavy film like this looks like, with them kitted up in motion-capture rigs. It’s a different style than traditional acting, but actors still have to stay in character and perform in a similar manner as they would in most movies.
Viewers will be able to see how shots compare in the CGI version and the raw cut, examining how much of the actors' performances end up in the final edition of the film. Audiences will essentially be watching actors on incomplete-looking sets in a manner that looks nothing like the finished product of the film, hopefully creating more appreciation for the time and talent spent working on these films in post-production.
