There are tons of new weapons being added toDestiny 2with each new update, and even though the Nightfall strike pool isn’t as fresh as it could be, its loot table is nothing to sneeze at. The weapon on rotation for the week of August 19, 2025, is Lotus-Eater, a new Rocket-Powered Frame Sidearm that comes with a few good rolls.
Lotus-Eater is the first ever Void Rocket Sidearm, making it the final subclass type to get a Sidearm of this archetype. It’s just as strong as its Strand and Arc counterparts, and can even beat outThe Call’s god rollin terms of pure add-clear utility. Thankfully, Lotus-Eater should be sticking around all Episode, up until the nextDestiny 2expansion drops, at the very least.

How To Get Lotus-Eater & Adept Variation
Run Grandmaster Nightfalls For Adept, While The Base Is Easier To Find
Lotus-Eater, in its base, non-Adept form, can drop from any Nightfall Strike you complete. This means that you have the chance to get one whenever you complete a Nightfall, no matter the difficulty, so farm the base difficulty as much as you want until you get theroll you’re looking for of Lotus-Eaterand other Nightfall weapons. The Nightfall changes each week, so if you want to wait for an easier strike, just wait until reset.
to grab the Adept version of any Nightfall weapon, you’ll have to wait until it comes up on weekly rotation.Lotus-Eater is the weekly weapon for the weeks of March 11, May 6, and July 1, so complete a GM Nightfall any of those weeksbefore the reset the following week in order to grab an Adept version. Adept weapons roll with extra perks, allowing you to pick between two in each column, and special mods, so if you want a more powerful Lotus-Eater, check it out.

Adept Lotus-Eater Stats & Rolls
Depending On Your Needs, You Have Options
Like all weapons inDestiny 2,the “god roll” will depend on how you’re using it. Like most rocket Sidearms, Lotus-Eater is typically a burst-y, add clear weapon. That meansyou’re going to be looking for perks that will deal elemental afflictions or create explosions around your target. With this in mind, here is your Lotus-Eagod roll to chase:
Destabalizing Rounds, or
Withering Gaze
I don’t know why you wouldn’t want Destabilizing Rounds, but if, for some reason, you’re not interested in Volatile on command and huge Void explosions, then you’re able to look for a Withering Gaze roll instead. Repulsor Brace gives you a Void overshield anytime you defeat a target that’s Void-debuffed, and with Volatile proccing basically for free thanks to Destab, you’re going to be Void-overshielded as long as there are adds to clear.
Destiny 2: How To Get The Barrow-Dyad Exotic SMG
Barrow-Dyad is Destiny 2’s newest exotic, and it’ll take some work to add it to your collection. Find the secret questline that will earn you the gun.
However, if you don’t need the overshield, you’re able to look for Reconstruct instead. This will overfill your magazine, allowing you to keep shooting longer and reload automatically while your weapon is stowed. This is nice, but to be honest, you’re better off taking the add clear potential that Destabilizing Rounds offers. No matter which roll of Lotus-Eater makes its way into your inventory, it’s sure to remain pretty strong moving forward intoDestiny 2’sFrontiersexpansions in the coming year.
