The 2001 comedy series, starring Reba McEntire as the eponymous character, aired for six seasons and follows the life of a single mother and her children in Houston.Happy’s Placesees McEntire return to broadcast sitcoms and, to the enjoyment of fans, pairs heralongside Melissa Peterman, who portrayed Barbra Jean onReba. Apart from Peterman, the first reunion involved Howey, when he appeared in season 1, episode 7, “Ho-Ho-Howey,” as Gabby’s acquaintance who goes to the bar and seemingly believes her lies about being Bobbie. He even jokes aboutReba,claiming that Bobbie and the employees remind him of a family in Houston, made all the more humorous considering that his character, Van Montgomery, married Cheyenne. Rich, who played Brock Hart, the ex-husband of Reba, had a guest role in episode 15, “Sisters Ink,” where he appeared as a tattoo artist. Plenty of references were made to his character as well.
