Talks ofGremlins 3happeningbegan in 2013, when it was reported Seth Grahame-Smith (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) and David Katzenberg (It) were going to serve as producers. In 2015, Zach Galligan, who played Billy Peltzer in the first two movies, confirmed the script was being worked on by Columbus in 2016, with the writer confirming the film was being made in 2017. He explainedhis script would explore whether Gizmo should be killedbecause he’s been the only source of the mogwai that have turned into gremlins after being fed after midnight.
