The video showcases some of the wacky moments featuring Frasier and the returning cast throughout the season, including Frasier struggling with his urges to help his son with his grammar and a moment where it seems like a baby may have been traded for wine. The trailer also reveals several clips from the upcoming episode whereFrasier returns to the Seattle radio station that was a major location in the original showand visits sports talk show host Bulldog Briscoe (Dan Butler).
Frasier Isn’t Shying Away From Nostalgia In Season 2
The Show Will Feature Even More Throwbacks Going Forward
As this trailer reveals, the new season of the reboot show is not shy aboutembracing nostalgia for the original run of the sitcom. Despite the first season featuring cameos from various characters from the original show, including Bebe Neuwirth as Frasier’s ex-wife Lilith Sternin and Peri Gilpin as his friend Roz Doyle, the show largely focused on properly establishing theFrasierreboot castand locations. The same is not true for the upcoming season, though those core characters and storylines are still clearly at the center of the show moving forward.
However, the Seattle episode and the return of Bulldog Briscoe are just the tip of the iceberg for what is to come after theFrasierseason 1 ending. In addition to Gilpin continuing to reprise the role of Roz, the show will feature the return ofEdward Hibbert as food critic Gil Chesterton and Harriet Sansom Harris as Frasier’s agent Bebe Glazeras well as Greer Grammer as a grown-up Alice Doyle, who was born during season 5 of the original show and was played as a toddler by Ashley Thomas in seasons 9 through 11.

Greer Grammer is the real-life daughter of Kelsey Grammer.
Reboot shows can survive without nostalgia, as The CW’s90210reboot proved in the late 2000s by continuing for three more seasons after the final cameo from an originalBeverly Hills, 90210cast member took place in season 2. However, in the modern era, perennial throwbacks seem to help shows maintain their core audience, which could be a reason thatThe ConnersandYoung Sheldonhave run for seven seasons each, between current and upcoming seasons.Frasiermay enjoy the same sort of longevity if it can maintain the same level of homage to the original classic sitcom.
Frasierseason 2 premieres on Paramount+ with two episodes on September 19.
