What Jesse Lee Soffer’s Agent Wes Mitchell Means For FBI: International Season 4
The Team Dynamics Are Going To Be Quite Different
Soffer is no stranger to shows produced by Dick Wolf, having portrayed Senior Detective Jay Halstead onChicago P.D.through season 10. He will be joining the cast ofFBI: Internationalafter a shortened season 3,which featured the departure of both Kleintank and his co-star Heida Reed, who played second-in-command Jamie Kellett. However, he won’t be the only new face, as Jay Haden, known for playing Travis Montogomery inStation 19, will be joining as Tyler Booth in midseason. Soffer’s role, however, will be important because he’ll be expected the fill the void his beloved predecessor left.
FBI: International Season 3’s Main Character Exit Teases A Perfect New Spinoff Show
Luke Kleintank’s FBI: International exit during season 3 has set the stage for a Scott Forrester spinoff that would feature a franchise first.
Since Mitchell won’t be part of the Fly Team when he’s first introduced,Kleintank leavingFBI: Internationalwill still be a core topic felt through his introduction. While it’s still unclear how he becomes their superior, his description of using “unconventional tactics” to bring criminals to justice means there could be some big changes to the team’s dynamicsin their cases moving forward. Because of how important Forrester was to the team, his replacement is going to have to prove himself just as capable to leave a good impression on his new teammates.

It’s A Risky Move That Just Might Pay Off
There is some risk introducing Soffer toFBI: International’s story, as his Agent Mitchell will be a new face suddenly taking charge of the team not long after a classic character departed. However, for those familiar with his performance onChicago P.D., it might be a welcome surprise to see him back in a law enforcement role. With his character teased to be a complex hero with plenty of ways he might change the show, the CBS series might be in good hands with him as the team’s new leader.
