What a statement victory from FaZe at the BLAST Premier World Final.
FaZe Clan reverse-swept Natus Vincere (NAVI) to knock them out of the BLAST Premier World Final 2024 on Oct. 31 and qualify for the quarterfinals.
This is an incredible victory for FaZe and one that will definitely lift their spirits after a rough early elimination from IEM Rio. They simply looked like a different team after the break on Mirage and went on to demolish NAVI.
NAVI had played in six consecutive grand finals until the BLAST Premier World Final, but perhaps the fatigue finally caught up to them.

FaZe now have to prepare to face NAVI in the lower bracket while MOUZ secured their BLAST Premier World Final playoff spot.

Inferno recap (NAVI 13-6 FaZe)
NAVI seems motivated to make up for the loss to Astralis. Aleksib’s squad completely dominated FaZe on Inferno on both sides of the map. That shows up in the statistics, especially in b1t’s rating. The Ukrainian star got a 2.02 rating, 22 kills, and just nine deaths.
Although b1t had better stats, it was jL who delivered the best highlight of the map. The Lithuanian rifler won a nasty one-versus-four clutch on the T-side to close out the map for NAVI. We’ll see if FaZe can turn things around on Mirage, but it’s not looking likely.

After a balanced first half (7-5 in favor of NAVI), FaZe gave everyone at home a T-side masterclass on Mirage. They won nothing less than seven rounds in a row and by the time that NAVI found their first round on the CT-side, it was already too late.
And, the best part of this victory perhaps, is the fact that all FaZe players contributed. Ropz topped the scoreboard, but broky, rain, and frozen weren’t too much behind. If all of them keep up, NAVI could have more problems on Ancient.

We don’t know what happened after the Mirage break, but FaZe became a total different team. They carried on that momentum from Mirage to Ancient and gave NAVI a serious beating in the first half. Karrigan and co. scored nine points on their CT-side, which practically killed NAVI’s chances.
To make matters worse for NAVI, FaZe also converted the second pistol and the following two rounds. NAVI only found one round on their CT-side before FaZe shut them down with a cheeky force-buy and A bombsite execution.
Ropz and frozen combined for 40 frags in just 19 rounds, but again, everyone on FaZe had their moments on Ancient.

NAVI players comment on the early elimination
“Not ready for this event unfortunately,” b1twroteon X after the match. “Very sad that we didn’t even play on stage!”
JL also took it to X, adding that jetlag might have played a part in NAVI’s early elimination from the BLAST Premier World Final 2024.
“A disappointing end to the tournament, wanted to play in front of an Asian crowd, but didn’t deserve it this time,” jLwrote on X. “Need to improve our game and how we approach jetlag for Shanghai. We could see it on our faces that we weren’t prepared for this.”
