What Happened in Dragon Ball Daima Episode #8?

Goku Defeats the Tamagami

Goku engaged in battle with the Tamagamifirst thing in this episode, kicking off an epic fight sequence that lasted almost half of the episode’s run time. Goku initially fought with his Power Pole to counter the Tamagami’s hammer, at least unil he was able to break the hammer and force the fight to be hand-to-hand. In Super Saiyan, Goku was easily able to keep up with the Tamagami’s movements, and did manage to survive some forceful blows, including energy attacks. Goku retaliated with his own energy attacks, ultimately finishing the Tamagami off with his favorite move, the Kamehameha.

After that, the Tamagami had one more challenge for Goku: a shell game. Goku was able to keep his eye on the Dragon Ball, and called out the Tamagami on tossing the ball aside. Goku was rewarded for his success with the Dragon Ball, leading the group to take off and begin heading for the Second Demon World. Glorio contacted Arinsu to let her know of their success, which triggered a scene of Arinsu visiting a strange witch. This witch was revealed to be responsible for the creation of Majin Buu, and seems to be working on a new Majin that will be in service to Arinsu, using a piece of Buu as a base.

Dragon Ball Daima Episode #8 Features One of the Series' Best Fights

Goku’s Battle with Tamagami Number Three Stands Out

Overall, this was an incredible episode ofDragon Ball, and one ofDaima’s most exciting episodes yet. Goku’s battle against the Tamagami is everything it was hyped up to be, with some amazing fight choreography as well as the excellent use of Some ofGoku’s most iconic abilities, such as Super Saiyanand the Kamehameha.Daima’s choreography has been fantastic overall, and this episode continued the trend, but managed to make the fight stand out even among the series' other battles so far. It was immediately apparent that the Tamagami wasn’t holding back, and so neither must Goku.

The revelation about Majin Buu’s origins is a substantial change toDragon Balllore, but it may well prove to be a more interesting situation than what fans had previously. It had previously been believed Buu was created by Bibidi, the “Father” of Babidi, hence why Babidi was sure he could control it. Bibidi is long gone, however, and this witch who apparently created him instead is still around, and seems to be working on a new Majin. Just what Arinsu is up to isn’t clear yet, but having a Buu-like Majin at her disposal would surely be dangerous, and not just for the Demon Realm.

What to Expect in Dragon Ball Daima Episode #9

Thieves Target the Three-Star Dragon Ball

Dragon Ball Daimaepisode #9 is entitled “Thieves,” and will seemingly see Goku’s group beset by thieves, who are likely after the three-star Dragon Ball. The preview didn’t provide much context beyond that, so it’s hard to say what exactly will be happening. We know from the end of episode #8 thatthe group is on their way back to Warp-sama, so as to gain access to the Second Demon World and get on the trail of the next Tamagami and Dragon Ball. It’s unclear if the thieves might be in the Second or Third Demon Worlds, although with how the Third Demon World has been portrayed, it’s most likely the latter.

The thieves do seem to be somewhat organized, and must have a decent knowledge of what’s going on to be targeting Goku so quickly after obtaining the Dragon Ball. With how legendarily powerful the Tamagami are, it seems surprising that anyone would even dream of trying to steal from someone who defeated one of them, but it’s happening regardless. The level of desperation in the Third Demon World seems to be just that high. No doubt Goku will be able to handle the thieves and retrieve their Dragon Ball.

Preview of episode #9, Thieves, showing two unknown characters.

AsDaimamoves to a new world, fans can expect to see a completely different side of the Demon Realm, as well as potentially learn more about the Supreme Kai and his people, the Glind, who are native to the Second Demon World.Dragon Ball Daimais looking better than ever after this latest episode, so fans have plenty to look forward to in episode #9.
