Blizzard seems to be listening to player feedback more and more, but this time around, fans are pleading that they don’t as some fans are requesting the new Spritiborn class inDiablo 4be nerfed. While the Spiritborn class is now one of the fan favorites, it does appear that it has a major balance issue. Blizzard usually fixes these types of issues with a much-needed nerf, but fans are requesting a different course of action.

In a recent Reddit post fromUsualInitial, the poster provides a different solution for Blizzard, stating,“Instead, if your class us lagging behind, call for buffs to your own class/build so that it can be bought up to the same standards as Spiritborn.“Rather than fans asking for the newest addition to the Class roster to be taken down a peg, they thinkthe better option is to make other classes more powerful.

Why This Makes More Sense Than A Spiritborn Nerf

Making Classes Less Powerful May Not Be The Answer

Normally, fans ofDiablo 4are more than willing to accept nerfs as a way of fixing balance issues, but this take actually makes a lot more sense. Looking through the eyes of players who main a different class than the Spiritborn, it would be more logical to create more of an overall balance than continue to take away from other classes with a noticeable advantage. As UsualInitial points out, nerfing a class instead of boosting others makes time gearing up and becoming stronger feel wasted.

Diablo 4 Season 6 Updates Are Welcome, But Don’t Take It Far Enough

Diablo 4 has made great strides since release, but it still suffers from frustrating issues, like a confusing Paragon Board with lackluster rewards.

The idea ofsimply taking away from hard-working players doing their best to become as strong as they are seems unfair, according to the Reddit thread, and several fans of the title have chimed in to give their take. One commenter,insan3ity, brings up an even greater point that nerfing isn’t the issue, as they say,

A mount and a portal in Diablo 4.

“Yup it needs to be brought down. Sadly Blizz translates brought down as completely gut it and bury it for 6 months or longer. I wish they could learn the technique of bringing something overpowered down gently.”

This take also makes sense, as many other commentators agree with insan3ity, mentioning that rather than lower the power level just enough, they overshoot it and end up making the class entirely less fun.

Our Take: Does Diablo 4 Need Balance Tweaks?

There Are A Few Things That Can Be More Balanced

There are someamazing and fun buildsfor all the classes inDiablo 4, and while some do feel a bit more powerful than others, that doesn’t mean they need to be completely shot down. As an avid fan of the title myself,I do believe that rather than bringing other classes down a peg, Blizzard could raise a few up.Since there will always be classes that feel stronger than others due to differences in build and gear, tearing one down to bring others up seems a bit backward.

Should You Make A New Character For Diablo 4: Vessel Of Hatred?

Diablo 4’s Vessel of Hatred expac doesn’t require players to make new characters, but it may be worth the effort anyway. These are the pros and cons.

While there are balance issues, this is nothing new to RPG fans orDiablo 4players. Hopefully, if Blizzard does decide to do something about these issues, they take their time and do it right as some fans have requested.
