How To Complete The “Of Lambs And Wolves” Quest In Diablo 4
Participate In Sacrificial Rituals For Power
The first objective in"Of Lambs and Wolves"is tovisitLocran at his family home, which is slightly southwest of the Zarbinzet area. Travel until you find the Reinforced Door leading into the home, where someone on the other side will say"I saw the weak made strong"as soon as you approach it. Defeat a small wave of enemies that spawn to unlock the way into the house, where the quest continues.
As of this time of writing, other players are experiencing glitches where they cannot interact with the Reinforced Door. If this is happening to you, disable Cross Network Play, save your game, and log out to return to a session that should work as intended.

Inside Locran’s home, you’ll discover that he is a member of the Triune, a group you’ve fought in the past. He insists that you can help each other and asks for you toparticipate in a sacrificial ritual to gain some of the Mother’s power. If you agree with this, your character takes aninteresting item inDiablo 4called a Fetid Khazra Liver from a crate and places it in a brazier near a summoning circle in the house’s larger room.
You need todefeat two enemies that spawn in the summoning circle, one larger foe and another Elite enemy that the Triune group creates. Taking down this creature gives you a Mother’s Gift item, which can be used to gain rare rewards from seasonal tiers. These Gifts are found on the bodies of strong enemies, in both the world and in the new Infernal Hordes mode in World Tier 3 and above for Season 5.

Do not mistake Mother’s Gifts for theMother’s Blessing events in the world, as the former are items that need to be collected en masse to reach seasonal reward tiers. Gaining your first Mother’s Gift ends the"Of Lambs and Wolves"quest, rewarding you with character XP and Gold as you are introduced to this new mechanic inDiablo 4.
