Two new poster designs shared byMMatton X, formerly Twitter, now imagine Holland and Damon in Nolan’s next movie. The first poster imagines theBlue Thunderidea, featuring Holland and Damon in full pilot gear with a futuristic helicopter on a pad behind them as lighting strikes in a blue sky behind them. The second poster is more Gothic and creepy, with the two actors in period-accurate clothing standing at the mouth of a misty cave, which seems to be in the shape of a drop of blood.

What The Rumors Mean For Christopher Nolan’s Next Movie
Which Rumor Sounds More Likely
As of writing, there’s been no confirmation that Nolan’s next movie will be either the helicopter idea or the vampire one. Though some have taken a listing on Production Weekly as confirmation that it will be the aerial cop idea, this source has not historically been reliable and should be taken with a grain of salt. It has been reported byTHR, a more reliable source, that the film is not set in the present day, though the outlet isn’t sure whether this means it is set in the past or future.
Christopher Nolan’s Next Movie Is Doing What Tom Holland’s $1.1 Billion Marvel Sequel Couldn’t
Tom Holland was recently added to the cast of Christopher Nolan’s next movie, creating a match-up that Marvel reportedly almost pulled off in 2019.
Of the two ideas, the futuristic helicopter cop action movie does sound like the more likely premise. Though Nolan has made several movies that take place in the past, he hasn’t yet dabbled with fantasy or horror, two elements that traditionally accompany a vampire tale. Two confirmed aspects ofNolan’s next movieare the release date and distributor, with the film set to bow on June 09, 2025, from Universal Pictures.

Damon was part of thecast ofOppenheimerlast year, but he also had a role inInterstellar. The upcoming movie will mark the first collaboration between Nolan and Holland.
Our Take On Nolan’s Next Movie
The Vampire Premise Would Be A Major Departure
ThoughNolan’s next project might end up being neither of the two rumored premises, the above art does suggest that both would make for great changes of pace afterOppenheimer, a three-hour historical drama. The helicopter idea does fit nicely into Nolan’s lane, and he has succeeded with sci-fi action movies in the past, including themind-bendingInception(2010) andInterstellar(2014). EvenTenetwas a lot of fun.
That being said, the 1920s vampire horror movie would be a major deviation from everything he’s done before, and it would be exciting to see him try something so drastically different. Nolan movies are always shrouded in secrecy during these early stages, but production on the project is likely to start next year. As that production approaches and eventually gets underway, more information about the newNolanmovie should begin to be released.
