DC Comics’ Dark Knight protector,Batman, and Gotham’s Clown Prince of Crime,The Joker, are destined to battle each other until either one dies or the other gives up entirely, with any common overlap between these comic characters almost nonexistent. Yet, in a new cosplay design,Batman has lost himself to the Joker’s influence, unleashing a new kind of villain onto the streets of Gothamwho can single-handedly bring the city to its knees.
Recently sharing this unique hybrid take on Batman and Joker’s toxic yet iconic dynamic on Instagram, Brad Johnson (@bradman.cosplay) specializes in bringing all kinds of live-action designs to life, withparticular attention given to Ben Affleck’s iteration of the character.

Creating and wearing multiple different Bat-Fleck costumes over the years, Brad has developed Batman’s main Snyderverse suit, hisJustice Leaguetactical variant,Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice’s Knightmare look, and more, with Brad also slipping into the shoes ofthe bat-villain Hushand even Marvel’s Wolverine, showing off his talents as a staple member of the cosplay community.
Batman Is Joker’s New Partner in Crime in Hybrid DC Comics Cosplay That Aims To Terrify
Basing this particular cosplay on thenow defunct Snyderverse set of films, this universe’s take on Batman was both lauded and loathed depending on who you ask, with the general consensus being that it was less Ben Affleck’s portrayal of Batman that people didn’t like and more so the story he was involved in. Also debuting a highly controversial version of Joker, played by Jared Leto, the Snyderverse never had its chance to truly explore nor develop the dynamic between Leto and Affleck. But now, thanks to Brad, the continuation of that Snyderverse relationship is revealed, and it’s utterly terrifying.
Comic Legend Drops First Look at New Batman Story: “My First Swing at the World’s Greatest Detective”
The Batman fandom is buzzing with exciting news this morning as comic legend [SPOILER] announces his upcoming story for the Dark Knight.
A Jokerized Batman whose wide grin and pale skin are a far cry from the broodiness fans are used to,Brad dresses in hisusual Bat-Fleck costume, but instead of using the suit’s darker colors, gives Batman a purple and green look, complete with multiple Joker-etched brands and even a crowbar as a weapon. Providing context for how this “Imposter Batman” came to be — Batman was “corrupted by the Joker’s manipulation” and has unleashed “terror across the city,” emboldening Joker to “reshape Gotham in his anarchic image” — Brad creates a plausible story for this new villain that fits him well.

A Villianous Batman Would Be a Devastating Addition To Gotham Seedy Criminal Underworld

Outside of DC’s Dark Multiverse, a place where the most disturbing of alternate worlds exist, Batman would never usually partner with Joker, regardless of whether he was manipulated or poisoned to do so, but with the inspired way Brad Johnson (@bradman.cosplay) brings the pair together here, it would be a travesty not to have an adaptation of this Batman x Joker design in comics, something fans of both characters can get behind.BatmanandJokerwon’t stop their decades-long feud anytime soon, but thanks to the cosplay community, it’s fun to see what would happen if they joined forces.
