Giatta is the healer companion inAvowed, and you will want to use the best abilities to help her stand out and keep the entire party alive. This is particularly useful when going into areas you aren’t quite leveled up for. Because of this, she does work well with any of the other companions, andshe can feel life-saving for those with lighter builds who are a little more vulnerablethan a tank would be.
Companions inAvowedare a crucial part of your journey, and you shouldupgrade and keep an eye on them as much as possible. They are invaluable, and there areoften too many enemies to fight solely on your own. Having a healer is always a good thing, but maximizing Giatta’s potential is important to keeping her effective.

How To Build Giatta In Avowed
Giatta’s Abilities
All of the companions have 4 abilities, and you will have 7 points for each companion near the end of the campaign depending on how high level you are. That means you can have2 full abilities unlocked +1, or you can have the points spread out a bit more.
10 Best Armors To Use In Avowed & How To Get Them
There are tons of different types of armor in Avowed, and which you pick will depend on your build and class. Here are the ones to look for.
The four abilities are:
Each of them have something of value to offer, and it can be hard to pick between them. Purification hasone level automatically unlocked.
Unlocking And Upgrading Giatta’s Abilities
This could depend on the build you are doing, but there are some that are a little more useful than others. The box below lists the name of each ability and the upgrade priority on each of them.
Time Shift
Extended Acceleration
Notably, the abilities I wouldunlock first are Purification (Boosted Essence) and Reconstruction (Critical Restore and Revitalize). These three seem like the most important to keeping everyone alive. After that, I would feel better experimenting with the rest to see what works better than the others.
Unless you are making an extremely fast build,Acceleration has the least priority in my eyes, but Barrier has some very valuable options. Having an extra shield and Temporary Health is a good one, particularly if you are running aRanger/Wizard buildthat is a little more vulnerable than other builds.Giatta is more crucial the more vulnerable your character is, so keep that in mind when you decide if you want her in your party or not.

Using Giatta & Who To Pair Her With
When you first add Giatta to your party, you will have to keep her in your party until you have tosend the people of Fior elsewhere. Not long after that,Yatzli will be added to your party, and you will have more choices to make.
Yatzli is considered the most indispensable party member, due to a unique ability she has that cannot be unlocked in any other way. Therefore, it is quite likely you will have Giatta paired with Yatzli if you keep her in your party. I did like this combination as they work quite well together. However,Giatta also works very well with Kai, as he can self-resurrect occasionally and between the two there is a lot of survivability.

Yatzli’s unique ability is mainly for exploration, so if you do come across a place where you need her ability, you’re able to always travel to the nearest camp and switch out. However, Giatta is a strong healer, and she is worth keeping in the party no matter who she is paired with. She also has a decent attack, andshe can keep enemies off of you as she often draws them further away.
If you feel like you need the extra health or are dying quite a lot,try taking Barrier earlier.

Giatta is the one companion that doesn’t have an ability lineup that matches one of the player classes,so she is the most unique out of themin that sense. She’s also the best and only Support companion, making her a little more valuable. You will have to decide if that’s worth keeping her in your party inAvowed.
