New weapons inGenshin Impact5.1 have been confirmed by HoYoverse after a series of leaks and they may change some character builds for the better given their stats and special abilities. Version 5.1 is the next patch in HoYoverse’s action RPG, and it is bound to arrive in early October following the confirmation during the related livestream. The update will continue the main Archon Quests in Natlan and also introduceXilonen inGenshin Impact, as both an NPC and a playable character. These will likely be the main attractions, though there is more in store for the update.

Among all ofGenshin Impact5.1’s contents, the developer has also confirmed a series of limited-time events, as well as bonuses, many of which will grant players hundreds of free Primogems as rewards. Other notable additions include system optimizations and quality-of-life updates that should make the player experience a lot smoother, from challenging the Spiral Abyss to building characters and crafting materials for them in the Crafting Bench. In addition to that, HoYoverse has also confirmed a series of new weapons being added to Version 5.1, many of which are deserving of attention for specific character builds.

Four New Weapons Arrive In Genshin Impact 5.1

One 5-Star Sword & Three 4-Star Weapons Are Being Added In The Update

In total,Version 5.1 will receive four new weapons, one of which is a 5-star, and three that are ranked 4-star. The 5-star weapon is Xilonen’s signature sword and it will only be obtainable via pulls from the limited-time weapons banner whenever Xilonen enters the rotation. The other 4-star weapons are a sword, a claymore, and a polearm, and they can only be obtained from banners, too. However, as 4-star weapons, they have a chance of dropping from any type of banner inGenshin Impact– though they will likely have increased drop rates during Version 5.1.

All the new weapons have been compiled and detailed in the database calledHoney Hunter World.

Peak Patrol Song Is A 5-Star Sword In Genshin Impact

Xilonen’s Signature Weapon Boosts DEF

Xilonen’s signature weapon, the 5-star sword called Peak Patrol Song, is making its debut in Version 5.1. The sword has a medium-ranged base ATK stat (542 at level 90) buta huge DEF sub-stat (82.69%), which scales marvelously with characters who use DEF to determine the power of their abilities– this includes characters like Xilonen herself, as well as Chiori and Albedo. Additionally, Peak Patrol Song has a weapon skill called Halcyon Years Undending inGenshin Impact. After a Normal or Plunging Attack hits an enemy, the user gains a special temporary buff called Ode To Flowers.

Genshin Impact’s Character Building Is Getting A Whole Lot Easier

Several new quality-of-life updates are arriving to Genshin Impact, and one of them is going to make building characters a much smoother experience.

With Ode To Flowers, their DEF is increased by 8% and they gain a 10% All Elemental DMG Bonus for six seconds, up to two stacks. The effect can be triggered once per 0.1 seconds. When Ode To Flowers reaches two stacks or the duration of the second stack is refreshed, all nearby party members’ All Elemental DMG Bonus is boosted by 8% for every 1,000 DEF the user has, up to a maximum of 25.6% for 15 seconds. This ties in perfectly with Xilonen’s role as a support debuffer, who already reduces enemies’ RES inGenshin Impact.

Genshin Impact’s Sturdy Bone sword is highlighted.

Sturdy Bone Is A 4-Star Sword In Genshin Impact 5.1

The Weapon Activates Bonuses After A Sprint

Sturdy Bone will be incorporated into the weapons banner in Version 5.1 and then be added to the regular loot pool across all banners following its debut. The 4-star sword has a considerably high base ATK stat (564.7 at level 90) for a 4-star weapon and further boosts that with an ATK sub-stat (27.5% at level 90). Naturally, this is a weapon for DPS units who rely on a higher ATK statto improve their overall damage output. However, Sturdy Bone will actually work better on specific types of characters inGenshin Impact, thanks to its skill.

The weapon’s skill is called Trapper’s Pride. With it, the user’s Sprint or Alternate Sprint Stamina Consumption is decreased by 15%. Furthermore, after using Sprint or Alternate Sprint, Normal Attack DMG is boosted by 16% of their ATK, an effect that expires after being triggered 18 times or seven seconds. Sturdy Bone will be a great 4-star weapon for characters like Ayato, Ayaka, andClorinde inGenshin Impact. This is because all of them naturally use Normal Attacks – anda small Sprint is all that is needed to trigger the bonuses.

Genshin Impact’s Fruitful Hook claymore is highlighted.

Ayaka still has better 4-star weapons, but her Alternate Sprint mechanic would, indeed, trigger Sturdy Bone’s Trapper’s Pride ability.

Plunging Attack DPS Characters Benefit From The New Weapon

One of the most notable additions of Version 5.1 is the 4-star claymore called Fruitful Hook. This weapon has a high base ATK stat (565 at level 90) and a reliable ATK sub-stat (27.5% at level 90). Despite its great stats for a 4-star weapon, the main aspect of Fruitful Hook lies within its weapon skill, The Weight of Falling Branches. Living up to its name, the ability increases Plunging Attack CRIT Rate by 16%. After a Plunging Attack hits an enemy, Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG is increased by 16% for 10 seconds.

This will easilychange Gaming’s build inGenshin Impact, especially for players who do not have access to the best 5-star weapons for him. Fruitful Hook plays in perfectly with his gameplay rotation, which consists of him leaping onto enemies for Plunging Attacks and then continuing to strike with his regular attacks.Fruitful Hook should also work well with claymore characters who are inserted into team comps with Xianyun, who essentially transforms any DPS into a Plunging Attack DPS. Characters like Chongyun, Eula, Freminet, and Razor. Other claymore characters like Navia may lose potential by becoming Plunging Attack DPS.

Genshin Impact’s Mountain-Bracing Bolt polearm is highlighted.

The New Weapon Is Good For Sub-DPS Characters

The fourth and final weapon being added with Version 5.1 is a 4-star polearm called Mountain-Bracing Bolt. The new weapon features a high base ATK stat (565 at level 90) and a low Energy Recharge sub-stat (30% at level 90), but its weapon skill is what makes it stand out.Hope Beyond the Peaks decreases the Climbing Stamina Consumption by 15% and boosts the user’s Elemental Skill DMG by 12%. Additionally, after another nearby party member uses Elemental Skills, the user’s Elemental Skill DMG also increases by 12% for eight seconds inGenshin Impact.

Genshin Impact 5.3 Leaks: Mavuika Is Making Me Hopeful For The Game’s Future, Four Years Later

There have been new leaks about Mavuika’s gameplay kit in Genshin Impact 5.3, and they sound extremely promising, even if four years late.

Naturally, the Mountain-Bracing Bolt polearm is best suited for an off-field sub-DPS character. Kachina, for example, could greatly benefit from the Mountain-Bracing Bolt. With it, her Elemental Skill’s Turbo Twirly would deal extra damage to opponents while the main DPS simultaneously attacks enemies. The same can be said about Emilie’s off-field Skill, which would deal more damage. Overall, these new weapons inGenshin Impact5.1 will likely change a lot of builds due to how strong they are for specific characters.
