Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Completehas many items, clothing, and stickers for players to use and collect, but one sticker in particular had a player very confused. Stickers can be used in the in-game journal, where players can add two stickers per day to show how their day is going. Most stickers portray an emote or everyday occurrences like a cup of coffee or a book, but some special stickers display seasonal images.
The sticker that’s causing confusion is one of these seasonal stickers, butCottageFairieon Reddit didn’t know that when they went to the site to ask “What is this sticker of?” The sticker resembles a cupcake or a stout ice cream cone with a white frosting, red and white squares coming out from it on either side, and a citrus fruit at the top.

Their best guess is that the sticker represents a “gyroid crying red and white confetti with whipped cream and an orange on its head.” As that seems unlikely, though, the Redditor turned to theAnimal Crossingcommunity for help in understanding the image.
Mysterious Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete Sticker Represents A Japanese Tradition
The Sticker Is Not New But It’s Appropriate For The New Year
Pocket Campfans were quick to come up with the answer, which is not, as the original poster, any type of gyroid. What the sticker actually represents is akagami mochi, a traditional Japanese New Year’s decoration. Reddit userMerynpieshares an image of the treat from Wikipedia, and it does look remarkably similar to the sticker.
The kagami mochi translates to “mirror rice cake,” andCuteProtection6explains that it’s called that “because the mochi is pounded over and over and over until it achieves a mirror like shine!” The sticker was added to the title in 2022, as part of theAnimal Crossing: Pocket Campv5.3.0c Update, the details of which were shared back then on Reddit bywindkirby. Although it’s not one of thenew items added in the January 2025 update, it’s stillquite appropriate that the sticker has shown up now, right after the new year.
