Predicting Every Character’s Ending Fate In The 9-1-1: Lone Star Finale

With 9-1-1: Lone Star drawing to a close, the future is uncertain for the 126. However, the show has left enough clues to make educated guesses.

The impending asteroid turned Mateo’s attention away from his deportation. However, given that he survives the natural disaster, the apocalyptic9-1-1: Lone Starseries finalemust reveal whether Mateo stays in Austin or is forced to move to Mexico. The episode should also provide answers concerning Mateo and Nancy’s romance. He learned that she never wanted to get married to anyone in the penultimate hour, which threw him for a loop. So,Mateo’s citizen status and relationship with Nancy are up in the air heading into the finale.

6Paul Mentoring Jax

The Penultimate Episode Introduced Jax

Similar to Mateo’sfinal9-1-1: Lone Starstoryline, Paul’s closing arc was introduced in season 5, episode 11. During a call,Paul met Jax, a non-binary teenager who performs stunts for social media. They just want to be seen, which is why they do reckless things to get attention on platforms such as Instagram. Paul, a transgender man, had a heart-to-heart with Jax at the hospital by explaining his story and how he felt as if he had to prove who he was growing up. He reassured Jax they were enough and managed to get through to the teenager.

The episode finished before the asteroid’s impact, and if Paul and Jax survive, the ending of9-1-1: Lone Starseason 5 should conclude their new mentor/mentee arc.

Paul invited Jax to Station 126, suggesting they might have a future career there, given their bravery. However, Paul wasn’t expecting an asteroid to be heading for Austin.Jax arrived at the firehouse just before the asteroid was about to make contactwith the city, and told Paul they wanted to help.

So, Jax joined the rest of Station 126 and took shelter underneath a firetruck. The episode finished before the asteroid’s impact, and if Paul and Jax survive, the ending of9-1-1: Lone Starseason 5 should conclude their new mentor/mentee arc. While speaking withVariety, showrunner Rashad Raisani explainedwhy Jax entered Paul’s life just as the show was ending. He said:

“When there were about four episodes left of our show, Brian Smith, who plays Paul, came to me and said, ‘Look, in the pilot of this show, the way that Owen is able to convince Paul to stay in Austin, is he says, ‘Somewhere out there in Austin is a kid just like you looking who doesn’t feel accepted for who they are, and maybe one day they’ll see a firefighter like you and believe that they matter.’’ And he said, ‘Wouldn’t it be cool if before the show wraps, we made good on that little promise?’ And I thought that was a brilliant idea. So Brian is the reason why we did that story, because he brought that up from the pilot and that led to the Jax story.”

5TK & Carlos' Adoption Of Jonah

The Couple’s Adoption Application Was Denied

TK and Carlos' arc in9-1-1: Lone Starseason 5has partially revolved around the decision to adopt. While TK wanted to gain custody of his half-brother, Jonah, Carlos revealed that he never wanted to have children.Carlos ultimately decided that he was on board with adopting Jonah, but his changing his mind might not matter following episode 11.

The couple met with a social worker, who would determine if TK and Carlos were fit to be Jonah’s guardians. Unfortunately, she decided to deny their application. She explained thattheir dangerous jobs (TK as a paramedic and Carlos as a Ranger) gave her pause about allowing them to adopt Jonah. The young boy has already lost so much, and TK and Carlos' high-risk careers suggest Jonah could lose them, too. Judd later gave TK advice on the matter, but fans must wait until the9-1-1: Lone Starfinale to learn if the couple can somehow find a way to adopt Jonah.

She estimated that Tommy only had days to live, absolutely devastating the paramedic.

Don’t Worry, 9-1-1: Lone Star’s Devastating Update About Tommy Is Likely A Red Herring

The synopsis of 9-1-1: Lone Star season 5, episode 11 teases a majorly upsetting update for one main character, but there’s more than meets the eye.

Tommy returned home and called her daughters, who were staying with their uncle. Instead of telling them the tragic news, Tommy simply told the two girls she loved them. Afterward,Tommy saw Charles, her late husband, standing before her, and she was convinced she was hallucinating. However, Charles claimed he was there to take her home.

9-1-1: Lone Starseason 5 must explain what happened to Tommy, whether she is dead, is about to die, or will make a miraculous recovery.

The two talked for a while beforeTommy fell asleep and maybe died. The scene of her allegedly sleeping on the couch zoomed out, and a ticking clock could be heard before it abruptly stopped, suggesting her time on Earth was up. But, the moment was meant to be ambiguous, leaving viewers with more questions than answers.9-1-1: Lone Starseason 5 must explain what happened to Tommy, whether she is dead, is about to die, or will make a miraculous recovery.

The asteroid isn’tthe final intense tragedy in9-1-1: Lone Star, it’s the catalyst to the show’s last catastrophe. 2Grace’s Return From Volunteering With Mercy Ships

Sierra McClain Exited 9-1-1: Lone Star In Season 5

Sierra McClain won’t appear in the9-1-1: Lone Starfinale, but that doesn’t mean the show can’t close out her character’s storyline. Grace decided to volunteer with Mercy Ships, an international faith-based organization that operates non-governmental hospital ships, at the beginning of season 5. She felt it was her calling. So,Grace left Judd and their daughter, Charlie, with the promise that she would eventually return. Judd struggled in her absence as he turned to alcohol for comfort until Owen helped him.

Yes, Grace won’t physically appear in the last episode. However,9-1-1: Lone Starcan fix Grace’s disappointing exit in the finaleby informing the audience when (or if) she comes home and reunites with her family.Judd’s arc can’t come to a satisfying end without Grace.Hopefully, the finale addresses Grace’s whereabouts, reassuring viewers that she and Judd will eventually reunite and live happily ever after.
